Kojima Masayuki is a director and storyboard artist.

Kojima got his start in the 1980s at Studio World, a subsidiary Tatsunoko Production. There, he made his debut as an episode director on Time Bokan Series: Gyakuten Ippatsuman and learned the ropes from series director Ueda Hidehito. After World closed, Kojima joined Visual 80 where he studied under Saitou Hiroshi on Chiisana Ahiru no Ooki na Ai no Monogatari: Ahiru no Kwak and Tanoshii Muumin Ikka. Kojima also took over directorial duties on Calimero partway through the first cour in 1992. However, deadlines were tight, sometimes forcing the staff to draw storyboards based on incomplete, rough scenarios and sprinkle the storyboarding work between two or three people in order to stay on schedule. After Calimero, Kojima went freelance.

In 1994, Kojima's work on Montana Jones got him noticed by a producer at NHK and he was selected as the director for Azuki-chan after which he entered into a close relationship with Madhouse. He remained there throughout the noughties, directing and otherwise contributing to many of their works, but has since left the studio. More recently, Kojima has frequently worked with Kinema Citrus; famously serving as the director for Made in Abyss.
