Learning Experience Activity

Name of Activity: Freeze it

Age: 3 year olds

Intended goal/s: Have the kids listen. When told to freeze or they have to redo position

they were doing,

Materials needed: A boom box with songs, spacious room, a classroom

Processes for preparation and introduction: Have the children siting down at the carpet

area. Tell children they are going to dance and sing along to a song. When told to freeze they

stop and stand still. If they dont stand still have to restart again. Explain to my friends that

statues dont talk or laugh. Start with some example round to see if they listen. Every person in

classroom gets involved.

Teaching strategies: The attention for this activity is communication and listening skills.

See who follows directions. Make kids pay attention to not get distracted. It focuses on to keep

hands to yourself. Lets you observe other what position they are in. Kids need to listen carefully

to join in the activity. Kids can be an statute they please.

Explanation of developmental appropriateness: They are using their thinking skill what

position to freeze. It lets them be social and have listening abilities. Use their physical skills be

in any position when have to stop. Their creative side choice anything they wish to be as a

statue.
