How to write an investigatory project:


Students are required to get their project report handwritten on inter-leaf sheets and to
represent in the best possible manner. The project report should be written in the following
sequence:
Title / Aim – Name of the project.
Introduction – Information collected from various sources related to the topic.
Observations – Record your observations / data in the form of tables, graphs, photographs,

Results / Conclusion – Give analysis of the data and compare your results with those
available in the literature and draw conclusions.

Accounting Ratios: A ratio is a mathematical number calculated as a reference to relationship of two
or more numbers and can be expressed as a fraction, proportion, percentage and a number of times.
When the number is calculated by referring to two accounting numbers derived from the financial
statements, it is termed as accounting ratio
• Current Ratio = Current Assets / Current Liabilities
• Debt-Equity Ratio = Long − term Debts/Shareholders' Funds
• Total assets to Debt Ratio = Total assets/Long-term debts
• Inventory Turnover Ratio = Cost of Revenue from Operations / Average Inventory
• Net Profit Ratio = Net profit/Revenue from Operations × 100
