    “RESOLUTION ADOPTING SB RESOLUTION NUMBER 74 SERIES OF 2019 ENTITLED


    ADOPTING RA 10028 OR AN ACT EXPANDING THE PROMOTION OF
    BREASTFEEDING, AMENDING FOR THE PURPOSE REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7600,
    OTHERWISE KNOWN AS AN ACT PROVIDING INCENTIVES TO ALL GOVERNMENT
    AND PRIVATE HEALTH INSITUTIONS WITH ROOMING-IN AND BREASTFEEDING
    PRACTICES AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES”

    WHEREAS, RA 10028 was enacted to adopt rooming-in as a national policy encourage, protect and
    support the practice of breastfeeding which will create environment where basic physical,
    emotional and psychological needs of mothers and infants are fulfilled;

    WHEREAS, the BLGU supports this program and found to be very indispensable to promote and
    encourage breastfeeding and provide or set measures so that mothers will continue this practice
    for the benefit of their infants;

    NOWTHEREFORE, upon thorough deliberation and on motion by Kagawad Niece B. Sawitan, duly
    seconded by Kagawad Expedito B. Vistar, it was;

    RESOLVED, as this body hereby resolved to adopt SB Resolution No. 74 series of 2019 entitled
    Adopting RA 10028 or an Act Expanding the Promotion of Breastfeeding, amending for the
    purpose of Republic Act No. 7600, otherwise known as An Act Providing Incentives to all
    Government and Private Health Institutions with rooming-in and breastfeeding Practices and
    for other purposes.

    RESOLVED FINALLY to furnish copy of this resolution to office/s concerned for their information.

    UNANIMOUSLY APPROVED.

    I HEREBY CERTIFY, on my honor to the correctness of the aforesaid resolution which was
    duly adopted by the Barangay Council during its 5th Regular Session, held on March 8, 2021.
