Public transport: As we see, the public transportation brings us a

number of benefits in term of individual as well as society. First of all,
that many people travel by public vehicles helps reduce the environment
pollution. That's because the amount of fuel (which turns into exhaust
after that) used to carry the number of people in a bus is less than that of
many individual vehicles. Moreover, Traffic jam will no longer be our
long- lasting obsession if most everybody chooses public vehicles as
daily means of transportation. Congestion only turns up when so many
people's own cars, motorbikes spread out every corner of streets. Last
but not least, we can save money by using buses to travel or electric
trains to commute. The tickets of public transportation are often cheap
because it serves the big number of customers. As these above
advantages of public transportation, I strongly suggest that we should
use public transportation as main means of transportation.
2. Learning E: Without doubt, English is the most widely spoken
language in the world. There are many benefits to be gained by learning
English. Most importantly, English is an international language and,
since the world has become more integrated, having knowledge of
English helps travellers from different countries to communicate better,
resulting in a more enjoyable travel experience. That, in turn, can help us
become more acquainted with other cultures and broaden our
knowledge. From an academic standpoint, it is undeniable that a good
command of English can provide a boost to your future career prospects.
Having the proficiency and confidence to speak and understand English
will put you at a distinct advantage when seeking a job. Moreover,
English is the language of academics, a large amount of research being
conducted and written in the language. Thus, society has almost
unfettered access to this veritable wealth of knowledge. Altogether, I can
say that learning English has countless benefits.
3. Means of transport: If I have to decide which mean of transport I
like most, it’ll be a car. Nowadays it is really necessary for me and my
family. Firstly, it is safer to drive a car than to ride a motorbike because
in a car there are air bags, seatbelts, car alarm… that prevent us from
being injured if you have an accident. Driving a car at night on a lonely
road will be safer than riding a motorbike. Secondly, you never have to
think about the weather (such a rain, sun, storm, and dark at night) when
you drive. A car has air-conditioner which helps you to avoid getting
wet, dust… so it helps to keep your healthy. In the third place, a car is
comfortable and fast. You can pretty much travel wherever you want
whenever you want within your local area, without having to worry
about the departure times and delays of the public transport system.
Furthermore, you will feel comfortable and relaxed with the CD and
DVD machines on the car. You can listen to music and you have
pleasure of driving. When you are tired, you can stop the journey and
rest. - Finally, if you have just the one car between you and your family,
it can be possible to share the vehicle between all of the family members
thus providing everyone with a mode of transport at all times.
4. Living in the countryside: Living in the countryside is really good
for your life because of these reasons. First, living in the country can
bring you a clean environment. The air is fresher and there are lots of
trees, rice fields and rivers, you can walk on the fields or along the rivers
to enjoy the clean and fresh air there in the early morning. Second, living
in the countryside is cheaper than in the city because people there have
lower income and don’t have the habit of spending a lot of money. If
you live in the country, you can save a lot of money. Finally, people in
the country are more friendly and opener than people in the city because
they live near each other. People live together in a small village so they
can talk countryside can have festivals and you can join and fell very
happy. In conclusion, there are many benefits of living in the
countryside.
5. Watching TV: Nowadays many people all over the world spent most of
their free time watching television; but since its appearance, television has
brought to man many advantages as well as disadvantages.
First, television plays an important role in our daily activities: it keeps us
informed of all current affairs in the world. Events through television are
more vivid than those through books and magazines.
Second, television helps us enrich our spiritual lives. Our knowledge is
broadened in many ways. Through language teaching programs, we can learn
the language we like such as: English, French, German, Chinese, Japanese
and so on. We can become skillful and clever at doing jobs, making cakes or
arranging flowers through practical courses taught on television.
Finally, television is a source of recreation. Humorous stories and funny films
bring us minutes of relaxation after a hard day’s work. For me, sitting
comfortably in an arm-chair to watch an international football match on
television is more interesting than having to queue for tickets at a crowded
stadium.
Apart from its advantages, however, television also brings lots of
disadvantages to viewers too.
First, television viewers gradually become passive in their action. Television
may be a splendid media of communication, but it prevents us from
communicating with each other or with the outer world. The world seen
through television is only the restricted one: It separates us from the real
world.
Second, television, with its fascinating power, makes people of all ages sink
into oblivion: whole generations are growing up addicted to the telly. Pupils
and students are so absorbed in television that they neglect their school
activities. Food is left uneaten, homework undone and lessons unprepared.
Housewives are so keen on watching television that they neglect their duties
toward their husbands and their children. Instead of watching television, we
may use the time for a real family hour. Without the distraction of television,
we may sit around together after dinner and actually talk to one another to
know and like each other better.
Finally, the evil influence of television on the young generation is inevitable;
it encourages them to commit crimes. Spectacles of sadism and violence on
television lead them to robbery, theft, rape and murder.
In a nutshell, television is useful to us when we know how to use it: Be
careful not to overindulge ourselves in it and use it in a discerning manner.
