Bare Infinitive : Full Infinitive : Gerund :


Verb in its base form = play to + verb = to play / not to play verb + ing = playing / not playing

1 Full Infinitive can be used as a SUBJECT in a sentence : 2 Full Infinitive can be used as an OBJECT in a sentence :

- To sing is my favorite hobby . - I like to sing .

3 Gerund can be used as a SUBJECT in a sentence : 4 Gerund can be used as an OBJECT in a sentence :

- Singing is my favorite hobby . - I like singing .
