Each and every social institution has social workers, who provide important assistance, resources, and
support to people who need it most. In social work, there are numerous fields that can lead you into
various sectors of the community. Schools, hospitals, mental health clinics, private offices, and a variety
of public and private agencies all have social workers in their service.

 Child welfare

Social workers who work in child welfare serve some are the vulnerable children, youths, and
families. Children and youths’ benefit from social workers who focus on building on families'
strengths and assisting them in providing a safe and comfortable environment for them.
However, if families are unable to do it, social workers must interfere to protect the children’s
health and safety. Using a variety of programs, child welfare social workers guarantee that
children and teenagers who have experienced sexual assault are helped.

 Justice and Corrections

Social workers who work in justice and corrections can be found in courts, rape crisis centers,
police departments, and correctional facilities. They may run services with inmates and assure
that they are prepared to return to community after they are released from jail after serving
their sentence.

 Advocacy and Community Organization

It is concerned with community intervention in order to overcome social problems. Individual


and community rights are championed by social work advocates with the purpose of
establishing social justice.

 Public Welfare

Administration, implementation, monitoring, and program assessment of the public welfare


system are all part of social work in public welfare. Social workers can help you apply for
government welfare and other programs, review your qualifications, and coordinate for
services. And they provide lot of obstacles that necessitate professional social workers'
innovative abilities and leadership.

 Mental Health and Substance Abuse Social Work


Individuals, families, and organizations are all helped by social workers in finding methods to
recover from drug addiction and abuse related disorders. In regards to family and neighborhood
environments, local support systems, people's norms, and practices, they still provide an
ecological approach to treatment that tends to focus on the client's needs.
