COURSE DESCRIPTION : The changing media landscape poses both a challenge and opportunity for social change.
This course offers theoretical and pragmatic involvment in communication processes that
shapes collective identities in the cultural public sphere. It examines the interrelationship
between communication, society and culture and tackles the role of mass media as an agent
of change and as catalyst to development, in the light of critical and cultural theories in con-
temporary communication.
