METHOD STATEMENT FOR THE INSTALLATION OF THE ADDITIONAL STEEL BEAM (FOR

MEP HANGERS AND CEILING NETWORKS) ALONG ROOF BEAM IN MAIN TERMINAL
BUILDING.

1. Scope
This Method statement is prepared to describe the method for the installation of the additional steel beam (for
MEP hangers and ceiling network) in main terminal building.
This method upon approval will be applicable for all similar activities in future.

2. Reference document
Drawing Ref. No. SNO7O10/2 under Submittal Ref. # 2345/A
Specs. 5120

3. Man power
• Site engineer (1)
• Working Foreman(1)
 Skilled Worker (6)
 Helper (6)

4. EQUIPMENT
 Electrical Drill with Complete Accessories.
 Generator with Complete Accessories.
 Scissors Jack Lefting Machine.
• Drill bit of correct diameter and length.
 Air Compressor with Complete Accessories.

5. MATERIAL
 Threaded Rod
 Anchor Chemical (Hilti hit hy 150 # 338973)
 IPE 120
 Angular Steel Gusset Plate
 Nuts and Washers
 Angle Bar 40 x 40mm x 6.05m
 Galvanized Hexa Bolts

5. PROCEDURE
Steps :
1. Clean and clear the area for installation.

2. Mark the location to make holes in conrete roof beam.

3. Drill the holes by the electric drill with correct drill bit diameter and required depth in the concrete beam.
4. Clean the holes by air compressor in the concrete beam.

5. Submit RFIA for the approval to studi for the depth, diameter of the holes in the concrete beam.

6. Insert and fix the anchor bolts with the approved chemical(hilti hit-hy 150 #338973).

7. Installation of assembled steel bracket and fix it properly with nuts on the concrete beam.

8. Installation of steel beam with brackets,bolts, nuts, connecting assembled steel bracket and fix it properly.

9. Prepare for the installation of angle bar on the steel beam.

10. Mark the location of the holes in steel beam in coordination to the angle bar on top with brackets,bolts and

nuts.

11. Make the holes in steel beam and angle bar coordinating its other with brackets by the electric drill of

required diameter.

12. Installation of angle bar on the steel beam and fix it properly with brackets,bolts and nuts.

13. Prepare the area for inspection and approval.

14. Submit RFIA for final inspection and approval to studi.

7. Quality control

 Review / approval of methodology.


 Monitor the on-going activity.
 RFIA to submit as mentioned in step 5 and 14 on the above procedure.

 All labors to wear their PPE
