Brothers Daggett and Norbert Beaver have left home to gain independence by living on their own. Their goal is to live a wild bachelor lifestyle but, as might be expected from young brothers, they get into some weird situations.

On the distant mining world of New Aries, a young colonist, Jim Marlowe, has acquired a native pet, a "roundhead" he names Willis, which can parrot speech and record visual information. As Jim and his sister P.J. are about to be sent to a boarding school, their mother Jane, the colony's chief medical officer, discovers that a substance in the deeper mines is killing the miners. She uses her authority to shut down the mines, but the decision is rescinded by the evil colony leader, a Beta Earth Mining Company man who sees only the rich profits at any cost. When the colony leader and the school's headmaster discover that Jim has a roundhead in captivity, they seek to steal it for use in medical experiments to make a serum that will temporarily protect the miners against the deadly substances in the mines. Willis records their conversation and when Jim escapes with him, it sets off a revolt against the Company that ends up involving the mysterious intelligent natives. Only Jim's friendship with Willis saves the colonists from eviction or possibly genocide at the hands of the natives, and in an epilogue set many decades later, we see that humans remained and "terraformed" New Aries to make it suitable for both species to co-exist.

Following the collapse of a super-power of the world stage, implied to be the Soviet Union, several factions emerged and vied for control over its former areas. One of them was terrorist organization SKAR, which aims at nothing less than world conquest. In the year 2006, a new G.I. Joe team is created to face SKAR and other power-hungry factions in an increasingly unstable, war-torn war.

Dag attempts to make Norb's dreams come true when Norb confesses his silly dream to become a Liepezoner Stallion.Norb and Dag find themselves in a gigantic water amusement park the night before its grand opening.

Daggett and Norbert are the Angry Beavers, two fun-loving regular guys who just happen to be large aquatic rodents. They're brothers, out on their own for the first time, struggling to make it in a big world without strangling

While on their way to a sports coliseum, Daggett annoys the bus driver who accidentally drives the bus through a hole in the fabric of space and time. The boys end up at the real Roman Coliseum where the beavers are forced to become gladiators.

Dag discovers annoying your brother isn't much fun when Norb "bops him into last week" and Dag is forced to retrace his errant steps over and over again with painful results.
