Kate Moss Topshop Spring/Summer 2014 Collection

Kate Moss and Topshop are excited to soon be launching their spring/summer 2014 collection, an eclectic mix of pieces encapsulating the British fashion icon's unique and revered vintage style.  

 Key design categories for this collection begin with Balearic Dressing, a reflection of Kate's love for the Balearic Islands comes a series of carefully embroidered smock-tops; silk blouses and a white kaftan that is based on a vintage find she wears every summer. The bold Aztecs dress has a handmade feel and the heavily embroidered crochet lace dresses, which either skim the thigh or the ankle, are available in cream or black. 
Pajama Dressing adds a totally new element to the Kate Moss Topshop range. Silk satin sourced in London's Soho carries two distinct prints: a subtle, distorted floral design and a vivid Oriental-inspired flower pattern. Both prints will be available in high-waisted trousers, blouses and an ultimate pajama coat. 
Cocktail Hour is flirtatious and sexy with hemlines either slashed at the thigh or falling to the floor. The intentional vintage effects, opulent trims and detailing such as cobweb beadwork, sequin bead fringing and crepe satin splicing, all provide a delicate and deluxe element to the designs. 
Tailoring Noir introduces a beautiful selection of tailoring including tuxes and trouser suits in black and black gold metallic mixes, a bias cut liquid metallic lame dress and lame floral printed shirts - offering a chic, smart alternative to dressing up for a summer evening.
Kate's growing up as a designer is reflected in this more premium collection with the use of luxurious fabrics, including silk chiffons sourced in London Soho, gold lame from Italy and intricate lace from India. Also upping the luxury quota is the meticulous attention spent on trimmings and details, including hand stitching and beading. 

This collection is available April 30th exclusively at Hudson’s Bay at all Topshop stores, Topshop capsules and 13 additional locations for a total of 25 locations across Canada - as well, the full assortment will also be available online. I am surprised anew when testing out modern-day matte lipsticks - the "matte" description is such a misnomer as it makes it seem like something that will be dry and lacking in any sort of shine - not the case with these as you can see from the swatches! Also great is how moist and comfortable they feel on the lips and the scent, I can't quite put a finger on what it is - something fruity, watermelon maybe?

Weird TV ad: Kate Moss Likes Bunnies...a Lot!

Kate Moss does have an interesting way to celebrate Easter: the British model gets up close and personal with Mr Rabbit. This is just...weird, really.

More TopShop is coming to Jonathan+Olivia - Kate Moss, the cosmetic line and TopMen!

Toronto fashionistas will be happy to hear that Jonathan+Olivia will be carrying the last seasonal Kate Moss for TopShop collection. The 70’s Biba inspired collection is a voyage into Kate’s unique take on vintage bohemian dressing. This last seasonal collection also celebrates the inimitable success of her previous collections.  The collaboration presents ‘Kate Iconic’, ten handpicked piece from the most popular sell-out pieces since the 2007 debut.  If you are looking to dress the boy - they will also be getting the TopMan line.

Most exciting for me is that they will be carrying the recently developed TopShop signature makeup line! 

Just looking at the pictures I can tell that it's funky and different so I'm really looking forward to trying it!

Oh No! Kate Moss and Topshop: It's Over!

While I'm sure most of you did a happy dance when you heard that American Apparel and their ugly clothes may go away for good, I have some bad news for the ladies who like Kate Moss line for Topshop. The collaboration between the supermodel and the British retailer will be the last one this fall. Too bad, Canada was just getting to know this line, after the store Jonathan+Olivia debuted her line in Toronto in June...because it's ovah! The sales are most likely declining, so it appears to be a business decision, or is it?

Do you think I could still get those ripped tights? I might buy them for Lisamarie as a Xmas present.

From Longchamp to Topshop: Kate Moss is Not Going Anywhere!

Kate Moss collaborated for the second time with Longchamp to design stylish leather bags. Based on the few pictures leaked online, I prefer her first collection but I will wait to see the complete Fall collection to really pass judgment. That being said Lonchamps handbags are always classic and great quality.




And I've got more Kate Moss news for our Canadian ladies: her Topshop collection is coming to Toronto! The newly expanded store Jonathan+Olivia is hosting a preview next week just before the official launch on Saturday, June 19. So watch this space for a sneak preview... And as if this wasn't enough: for fall 2010, Topshop Kate Moss collection and the new Topshop make-up line will be added!

It should be good...oh yeah!

Kate Moss Sizzles in Vogue Paris!

I can't help but marvel at the difference between Kate Moss in Party Girl mode, haggard and disheveled, and Kate Moss the Model, tanned and glowing. This Vogue photospread titled "And God Created the Sun" in reference to the movie "And God Created The Woman" starring a young Brigitte Bardot, shows a healthy looking Kate Moss in a white dress from Ungaro, a Levi's leather jacket paired with Isabel Marant shorts, Dolce & Gabbana black bodice and a Dior leopard print swimsuit.

Sneak Peek: Kate Moss Xmas TopShop Collection








Here is a preview of Kate Moss TopShop collection (only available at Holt Renfrew in Canada). Xmas will be sultry and glittery. I'd love to see the outfits with proper lighting, but so far it looks pretty interesting. Well, Kate Moss still has it, I guess.
