Prediction of fuel consumption rate level of a vessel per voyage posed to be a challenge under uncertainties. In such uncertain conditions, revealing of fuel consumption rate levels of the fleet of vessels is deemed imperative to ensure effective and efficient operations of the vessels per voyage. Therefore, development of uncertainty treatment model is necessary in this research. A combined algorithm that is made up of fuzzy rule base and utility theory methods is incorporated in the investigation of the fuel consumption rate levels of marine vessels. The mechanism of the algorithm is used to capture and combine all the important parameters that determine the fuel consumption rate level of each marine vessel. The workability of the model is demonstrated. The produced results revealed that the combined algorithm can support estimation of the fuel consumption rate levels of marine vessels and show which vessel is better than the other. Based on the results of this article, the management and crew of a marine vessel are equipped with the necessary decision support tool to optimize, implement and manage improvements on the performance characteristics and fuel consumption rate of their marine vessels during voyages.

Usually, the concept of sufficient stability of a floating structure is connected with the capacity to keep a small heel angle despite the moment of heeling. The variable responsible for these characteristics is the initial metacentric height, which is the relation between the hydrostatic features of the pontoon and the mass properties of the entire object. This article answers the questions of how heavy the floating system should be, what the minimum acceptable draft is, and whether it is beneficial to use internal fixed ballast. To cover various technologies, a theoretical model of a cuboid float with average density representing different construction materials was analysed. The results indicate that the common practice of using heavy and deep floating systems is not always reasonable. In the case of floating buildings, which, unlike ships, can be exploited only under small heel angles, the shape and width of the submerged part of the object may influence the stability more than the weight or draft.

Los numerosos rasgos sorprendentes de los templos griegos antiguos se entienden como algo natural si suponemos que los templos proceden de barcos de guerra reales, no metafóricos, volteados y varados sobre soportes (hay suficientes paralelos etnográficos de esta práctica). Los templos griegos son, más que edificios, esculturas en piedra de barcos varados que proclaman la familiaridad de los griegos con el mar y su dominio, su talasocracia.

Archaeologist Joel Klenck describes a monumental wood structure, smaller wood edifices, and a cave site are located at elevations between 3,900 and 4,600 meters above sea level on Mount Ararat in eastern Turkey. These archaeological sites exhibit excellent preservation, evidence an origin during the Late Epipaleolithic Period (13,100-9,600 B.C.), and at the monumental wood structure, indicate veneration by later cultures. Artifacts from the monumental wood structure and cave site reflect a range of botanical remains, wood tools, bone artifacts, textiles, and nonceramic vessels made of organic materials. The plan materials, and architectural features from the wooden structure reflect a range of architectural types that continue into the Pre-Pottery Neolithic A (9600-8500 B.C.) and later periods.

This research is evaluation from the unmanned fast boat contest  at Camplong Beach Madura 2013, there are many lack in our boat performance. And this is the problem that writer wants to study. Because the boat can’t drove at  maximum velocity and the boat flipped down when impacted with wave and wind. We expect with dimension plan  took from hydrofoil ship concept can maintain the stability of the hull when the ship drove at high velocity. The modeling and analyzing process used in dimension plan  is modeled and simulated with ANSYS 14.0. The goal of this research is to obtain the Design of RC Hydroplane dimension so as to maintain a stable condition when the ship drove at high velocity and the specification of RC Hydroplane: Length 700 mm, Breadth 280 mm, Height 199 mm, and draft 50 mm with velocity of 33,47 knots.

The Seabus Alu-01 ship is an aluminum fast ship type, it has a service speed of 35-45 knots. Installation of the zinc anode on the Seabus Alu-01 is different from any general ship, as the zinc anode is mounted by protruding it into the ship’s hull. This research performed a simulation the ship seabus alu-01 which has been modified to use the ellipse zinc anode. The final results of the research showed that ellipse zinc anode better than square zinc anode, because the ship using ellipse zinc anode has a flow velocities hull faster than ship using square zinc anode, drag force value lower, and the value of force lift ship using ellipse zinc anode higher than ship using square zinc anode.
