Almost 75 years after the initial publication of Theodor Nöldeke's Geschichte des Qorâns, Abū ʿAbd Allāh al-Zanjānī (1892–1941), an Iranian religious scholar, made a brief reference in the final chapter of his Tārīkh al-Qurʾān to an edition of Nöldeke's work revised by Schwally, Bergsträsser and Pretzl. He described Nöldeke as a great scholar and his Geschichte des Qorâns as a valuable contribution. Al-Zanjānī’s work also included an outline of Nöldeke's discussion on the order of the revelation of the suras. It is probably safe to say that al-Zanjānī’s book is the first independent work on the history of the Qur'an by a Muslim scholar. This fact leads one to wonder about the apparent lack of previous interest in the historiography of the Qur'an among Islamic scholarship. The present paper seeks to address this question and offer an overview of historiographical scholarship on the Qur'an contributed by Muslim writers both before and following Nöldeke

This article is a bibliographic review of
the scientific production published internationally
from 2010 until the middle of 2019
on the concept of School Library. The objective
was to establish an updated status of the
issue on the most relevant research in the
school library area. In order to achieve this,
a systematic methodology of bibliographic
selection was applied in four search engines
using descriptors related to the research
objective. Therefore, a document bank consisting
of 70 titles was obtained. This bank
served as the basis of the scientific evidence
of the review. The results obtained indicated
that the main tasks of the school library are
to promote the reading habit, to offer various
reading media and to facilitate metacognitive
learning in any area of the school curriculum.
To achieve this, teachers and librarians
must unify efforts in order to turn
the school library into a pillar of the school’s
educational project. Likewise, it is necessary
to look for alliances in the social environment
and to develop activities that boost the
school library and in which families are also
involved.

Las Jornadas, que celebran su segunda edición, están organizadas por el Grupo de Trabajo de Patrimonio Bibliográfico de REBIUN y la Universidade de Santiago de Compostela y nacieron con la vocación de servir de foro para la presentación y el debate entre especialistas de diferentes instituciones sobre los diversos aspectos de la gestión de las colecciones patrimoniales en bibliotecas históricas y de las colecciones especiales en bibliotecas y/o archivos.
Están dirigidas a profesionales del ámbito de bibliotecas, archivos, restauración, documentación, investigación, mercado editorial y toda persona interesada en la gestión del patrimonio bibliográfico.

La réédition de la bibliographie karamanlie, qui débute avec le présent volume, vient tout d’abord unifier les titres enregistrés des trois tomes de S. Salaville – E. Dalleggio (1958, 1966, 1974) avec ceux des trois autres d’Evangelia Balta qui ont suivi au cours de la période qui va de 1987 à 1997 ; elle incorpore aussi toutes les nouvelles additions recueillies dans cet intervalle de vingt années. De surcroît, cette nouvelle édition se donne pour objectif d’intégrer la Bibliographie Karamanlie dans le devenir éditorial de l’Empire ottoman. Il s’agit d’un dessein qui dépasse les limites convenues d’une bibliographie, mais qui indubitablement propose une vue d’ensemble des lettres karamanlies, en l’intégrant dans le cadre que forment ses deux piliers, le grec et l’ottoman.

Karamanlıca Bibliyografya’nın şimdiki ciltle başlayan yeniden yayını, her şeyden önce, S. Salaville –E. Dalleggio’nun üç ciltlik kayıtlarını (1958-1966-1974), Evangelia Balta’nın 1987-1997 yılları arasında çıkan diğer üç ciltleriyle birleştirdi. Öte yandan, takip eden 20 yıllık aralıkta toplanan yeni buluntular da buna eklendi. Bu son yayın Karamanlıca Bibliyografya’nın Osmanlı İmparatorluğu’nun editoryal oluşumuyla bütünleşmesini amaçlamakta. Karamanlıca kitaplar, başka milletlerin Türk dil bilimi üzerindeki etkilerini yansıtıyor, ancak onlar üzerine bir çalışmayı da içeriyordu. Bir bibliyografyanın sınırlarını aşan bir niyet taşıyor ve esas olarak Karamanlı edebiyatının bütününe, Yunan ve Osmanlı’nın buluştuğu bir çerçeveden bakış getiriyordu.

Bollettino bibliografico della cultura europea da Boezio a Erasmo (secoli VI-XV) della «Società Internazionale per lo Studio del Medioevo Latino» della «Fondazione Ezio Franceschini». Direttori: Agostino Paravicini Bagliani e Lucia Pinelli. «Medioevo latino» è una bibliografia che esce con periodicità annuale (a partire dal 1980) e che dà notizia esaustiva della produzione medievistica dell’anno precedente, relativa ai testi prevalentemente scritti in lingua latina tra l’anno 475 e gli inizi del XVI secolo (arco cronologico che si è progressivamente ampliato nel corso degli anni). This bibliography does not aim to be exhaustive. Its order is thematic, and the sources are not organized alphabetically, thus it suggests a certain reading order. It is trilingual and includes sources in Bulgarian, Russian and English languages, and here we do not translate or transcribe the Cyrillic sources.

Presentazione generale
Nella bibliografia delle opere su Primo Levi sono stati inseriti tutti i testi critici raccolti sinora dal Centro sull’opera dello scrittore torinese. Nel lavoro di ricerca e raccolta un impegno prioritario è stato dedicato ad alcuni ambiti di particolare interesse:
a) si è curata la raccolta delle recensioni più antiche, che spesso sono le più significative proprio in virtù della loro acerbità e dello spiazzamento che le opere di Levi produssero nei loro lettori precoci. Da questo repertorio emergerà ad esempio che la prima edizione di Se questo è un uomo (De Silva, Torino 1947) ebbe una fortuna modesta ma non scarsa, e che di quel libro si continuò a parlare con ammirazione durante tutti gli anni Cinquanta, fino alla nuova edizione Einaudi del 1958;
b) il discorso appena fatto non vale soltanto per l’Italia: si è infatti dedicata una parte considerevole del lavoro di ricerca a documentare l’inizio della fortuna di Primo Levi nei principali paesi del mondo. Ci si è riusciti, finora, soprattutto per l’Inghilterra e gli Stati Uniti, meno per la Germania, mentre il lavoro sulla fortuna iniziale di Levi in Francia, in Spagna e in altri paesi resta quasi tutto da fare: e qui, come si dirà meglio più avanti, contiamo sull’aiuto dei nostri lettori-visitatori;
c) si è cercato di registrare nel modo più scrupoloso le testimonianze biografiche su Levi, anche brevissime. Succede spesso che tali testimonianze siano contenute (e, in qualche caso, nascoste) in saggi critici, rischiando di passare inosservate;
d) sempre nei saggi critici o nelle testimonianze biografiche, capita spesso di imbattersi in lettere private di Primo Levi dirette all’autore del medesimo saggio (o testimonianza): se ne dà conto, minuziosamente, nelle «Note aggiuntive» che accompagnano i vari lemmi del repertorio;
e) si sono cercate citazioni e testimonianze su Levi contenute in lettere e diari di personaggi di notevole caratura intellettuale e civile: ci limitiamo, qui, a fare gli esempi di Giorgio Agosti, di Piero Calamandrei e di Franco Venturi;
f) si è fatto lo spoglio di tutti i volumi collettanei via via reperiti (atti di convegni, numeri speciali di riviste, ecc.) aggiungendo nel contempo nella «Nota aggiuntiva» ai volumi considerati nella loro interezza una trascrizione completa dell’indice. Lo stesso è stato fatto per le biografie e per le monografie su Levi;
g) è stato sviluppato un interesse specifico per le recensioni di opere di Primo Levi apparse in riviste scientifiche. Per la novità e l’importanza di questo settore si è anzi deciso, in attesa di farle confluire in questa bibliografia di insieme, di raccoglierle per ora in un apposito repertorio creato sul sito del Centro (sotto la voce “Scienza”).
Si sono invece tralasciate per ora le seguenti categorie di testi:
a) le tesi di laurea e di dottorato dedicate a Levi, che un giorno potranno essere l’oggetto di un apposito censimento, di dimensioni però forse troppo ampie;
b) i testi critici pubblicati unicamente sul web, tranne pochissime eccezioni;
c) le opere creative (racconti, romanzi, poesie, film, testi teatrali, partiture musicali, opere delle arti figurative) modellate su o ispirate a opere di Levi, o alla persona di Levi. Anche queste dovranno più avanti essere oggetto di un repertorio apposito: sempre più spesso Levi diventa un personaggio, talvolta un protagonista, in immagini, musiche, versi e prose di autori anche importanti. Una parziale eccezione si è fatta per il film di Francesco Rosi La tregua, che è uscito nel decennale della morte di Levi (1997) ed è stato lo spunto per analisi critico-biografiche che andavano aldilà dell’occasione cinematografica;
d) le presentazioni critiche di brani primoleviani accolti nelle antologie scolastiche. La fortuna di Levi deve molto alla scuola, soprattutto alla scuola dell’obbligo; la sua fama si è consolidata negli anni grazie al consenso (e al passaparola) di lettori comuni che spesso erano studenti giovanissimi; Primo Levi è entrato nella memoria culturale condivisa soprattutto grazie a queste persone, e grazie ai loro insegnanti. Il lavoro più intenso da parte dei critici letterari e degli studiosi accademici è cominciato solo a partire dagli anni Ottanta. Censire questa parte “scolastica” della sua fortuna è un lavoro che supera di molto le forze attuali del Centro. È stata però inclusa nel repertorio l’indicazione di alcune antologie che hanno stampato brani di Primo Levi fin dal 1948, e comunque prima dell’edizione Einaudi 1958 di Se questo è un uomo; e si è registrata anche un’antologia per le scuole medie allestita nel 1981 da una curatrice d’eccezione, Natalia Ginzburg;
e) le recensioni di opere critiche (libri, monografie, atti di convegno, numeri speciali di riviste e altre opere collettanee) dedicate a Primo Levi. Anche in questo caso, però, non mancano alcune eccezioni. Sono state registrate le recensioni delle tre biografie finora dedicate a Primo Levi da Myriam Anissimov (1996), da Carole Angier e da Ian Thomson (2002), perché quei libri hanno suscitato un dibattito vivacissimo, che meritava di essere documentato. La stessa cosa si è fatta per i libri di alcuni autori che stanno lasciando un segno nella critica primoleviana: Giorgio Agamben, Marco Belpoliti, Alberto Cavaglion, Ernesto Ferrero, Robert S.C. Gordon, Pier Vincenzo Mengaldo;
f) le opere in cui Levi è citato soltanto di passaggio: sono, come si può immaginare, moltissime. Negli Stati Uniti, ad esempio, esiste un gran numero di testi di filosofia, politologia, antropologia, in cui si fa ricorso a nozioni coniate da Levi: «zona grigia», «vergogna», «violenza inutile». Nella gran parte dei casi, però, queste citazioni non implicano un esame diretto dei testi primoleviani da cui provengono;
g) le segnalazioni più brevi dedicate a opere primoleviane, soprattutto quelle riguardanti le ristampe di sue opere;
h) le notizie di cronaca superficiali o ripetitive: solo su queste, e non sui testi critici, è stata fatta una selezione in base al valore, per non appesantire il repertorio.
Nel raccogliere e nel costruire la bibliografia si sono fatti notevoli sforzi per dare agli utenti il massimo d’informazione sul contenuto dei testi. Ogni singolo lemma, ogni elemento del repertorio è infatti accompagnato da una serie di indicazioni utili a consentire, oltre all’accesso per autore, titolo, data, ecc., secondo i criteri documentari consolidati, un accesso tematico, pensato in forma duplice:
- per “Opere”: ogni repertoriazione bibliografica è accompagnata dall’indicazione delle opere di Primo Levi cui il testo in questione si riferisce. Questo per aiutare il lettore a selezionare tutti i testi che si riferiscono a questa o a quell’opera di Primo Levi;
- per “Parole chiave”: sulla base delle peculiarità dell’opera leviana e dello sviluppo avutosi sinora nel dibattito su di essa ne sono state individuate alcune decine con lo scopo di descrivere il contenuto dei testi critici su Levi nella maniera più esaustiva possibile.
Tutti i titoli di opere e tutte le parole-chiave funzionano come link ipertestuali: cioè, cliccando su uno di essi si otterrà l’elenco ordinato di tutto quanto è stato scritto – per fare solo qualche esempio – su La chiave a stella o sul Dialogo tra Levi e Tullio Regge, o sulla presenza di Dante nell’opera di Levi, sul suo talento come Antropologo/Etologo, o, ancora, su tutto quanto sia stato scritto in merito ai rapporti tra Levi e la casa editrice Einaudi, tra Levi e la città di Torino, o sugli intrecci fra la sua opera e quella di Jean Améry o di Giorgio Bassani o di Elias Canetti.
Molti lemmi della bibliografia, inoltre, sono corredati da «Note aggiuntive», cioè da un testo che contiene informazioni utili sullo scritto in questione: per esempio, l’esistenza di stesure diverse, precedenti o successive, dello scritto medesimo, qualche circostanza notevole della sua storia, i rapporti esistenti tra l’autore e Primo Levi, ecc.
Questa repertoriazione bibliografica, che pure conta, al momento della sua presentazione al pubblico, oltre 2.000 lemmi, verrà aggiornata costantemente e dunque è destinata a crescere molto e con rapidità. Ogni bibliografia è una collezione, e, come tutte le collezioni, è incompleta; ma questa, a differenza di altre collezioni, può entrare in possesso di tutti, e si aspetta di ricevere un contributo da chiunque sia interessato a farla prosperare e circolare. Noi chiediamo ai nostri utenti di segnalarci errori, lacune, inesattezze di ogni tipo. Chiediamo agli autori di saggi su Primo Levi di mandarci quello che via via pubblicheranno sull’argomento. Chiediamo a tutti, in tutto il mondo, di spedirci materiale primoleviano che colmi le nostre lacune. Ci scusiamo in anticipo con gli autori di testi assenti da questo repertorio: chiediamo loro scusa e li invitiamo, nello stesso tempo, a segnalarceli e a mandarcene una copia.

This paper identifies the knowledge development and knowledge gaps in business and management research on resilience, based on a systematic review of influential publications among 339 papers, books and book chapters published between 1977 and 2014. Analyzing these records shows that resilience research has developed into five research streams, or lines of enquiry, which view resilience either as (1) organizational responses to external threats, (2) organizational reliability, (3) employee strengths, (4) the adaptability of business models, or (5) design principles that reduce supply chain vulnerabilities and disruptions. A review of the five streams suggests three key findings: First, resilience has been conceptualized quite differently across studies, meaning that the different research streams have developed their own definitions, theories and understandings of resilience. Second, conceptual similarities and differences among these streams have not yet been explored, nor have insights been gleaned about any possible generalizable principles for developing resilience. Third, resilience has been operationalized quite differently, with few insights into the empirics for detecting resilience to future adversity (or the absence thereof). This paper outlines emerging research trends and pathways for future research, highlighting opportunities to integrate and expand on existing knowledge, as well as avenues for further investigating resilience in business and management studies.

A produção de grades horárias (Timetabling) escolares e acadêmicas é um problema complexo de alocação de um conjunto de eventos (exames, seminários, projetos ou aulas) e um conjunto de agentes (instrutores, monitores ou professores) em um conjunto finito de horários, sujeito a um amplo conjunto de restrições. O problema deve ser resolvido de forma a maximizar a possibilidade de alocação ou minimizar as violações de restrições. Em muitas instituições de ensino, este trabalho é realizado manualmente, necessitando de vários profissionais, gastando um longo tempo e nem sempre produzindo a melhor alocação de recursos para a instituição. Este trabalho aborda teoria e aplicações de Algoritmos Genéticos (AGs) na resolução de Problemas de
Timetabling em instituições de ensino fundamental, médio e universitário. Análises realizadas neste trabalho - de diversos artigos, dissertações e monografias publicados na literatura - mostram que os AGs utilizados na resolução do problema em questão, quando testados em diferentes situações, forneceram resultados satisfatórios - tanto referentes a qualidade das soluções obtidas, quanto ao tempo gasto para produzi-las - constituindo-se, portanto em uma ferramenta adequada para resolver problemas de Timetabling escolar e acadêmico.

Productivity metrics provoke mixed responses from the research community. The Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID) facilitates an open and clear data infrastructure to handle publication products. ORCID is a unique identifier that accepts data interoperability for funders, industries, and publishers by exploring indicators for research aspects that they aspire to evaluate instead of using current indicators because they are readily accessible. This manuscript examines the use of ORCID for publication metrics, grant applications, management and reporting platforms. The benefits of ORCID offer a quick way to promote and organize a researcher's work as well as to foster better communication among researchers.

A lo largo de los últimos cuarenta años, toda una serie de autores han comenzado a dar cuenta de la cuestión de la consideración moral de los animales no humanos desde las más variadas teorías éticas. Este artículo repasa esta cuestión mediante una bibliografía anotada que abarca las principales obras dedicadas a ella durante el periodo indicado. Veremos que estas pueden caer en tres categorías distintas, en función de si tienen como objeto cuestionar las posiciones que han sido denominadas especistas, oponerse al cuestionamiento de estas por motivos puramente antropocéntricos, o rechazarlo por razones de carácter ecologista.

bibliography is much more than a mere list of books; it portrays major developments and trends in the concerned subject and gives an idea of the various shifts and waves in the intellectual history of a particular field. The Holy Qur'ān, the Scripture of Islam, has remained the focus of intellectual engagement throughout history right from its revelation. This has resulted in a rich corpus of the Qur'anic scholarship spread over a range of subfields including translations of the Qur'ān in different languages, commentaries of the Qur'an, Qur'anic lexicon, principles of the Qur'anic exegesis, Qur'anic sciences, etc. During the modern period, the Western imperialism paved the way for globalization of English language which, in turn, has culminated in the proliferation of literature on Islam in English. The Qur'anic scholarship in English has not only superseded other languages, including Arabic, the language of the Qur'ān, it has also flooded rather, in a sense, monopolized the academia. The constant flow of English translations of the Qur'ān, especially by non-Muslims, is the most striking indicator of the market forces prompting intellectual production. Though the political economy of this knowledge production is yet to be seriously studied, it is beyond the scope of the present review; the immediate concern is reviewing the present book listing the academic research on the Qur'ān in English with brief annotations. The book under review aptly titled as Academic Research on the Qur'an: A Critical Bibliography is an important reference work on the Qur'an. The bibliographer, Sajid Shaffi, Research Scholar in Islamic Studies at AMU, Aligarh, has listed 490 theses (364 doctoral and 124 masters) on different aspects, themes and sub-fields of

Bibliographies are lists which convey idenfication information of different publications like books,
papers and articles on specific subjects in a certain order. They are prepared with the intention to provide
those who conduct studies in a certain field with the related source material in its entirety. They make it
possible to quickly review previous work on the subject being studied. They also provide an opportunity to
make more realistic, effective and less time consuming plans in reaching the target.
The first comprehensive bibliography on entomology and agricultural zoology in Turkey was
prepared by Prof. Dr. Feyzi Önder, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Karsavuran, Dr. E. Pervin Önder, Dr. Aynur Önuçar and
Dr. Ertaç Tutkun within the study framework of Turkish Entomology Association. It was printed in 1982 by the
General Directorate of Plant Protection and Quarantine under the name of “Bibliography of Entomology
and Agricultural Zoology of Turkey (Fauna, Pest Control, Pests of Plants, Methods) (1595-1978)”. The
second bibliography in this field was prepared by Prof. Dr. Feyzi Önder, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Karsavuran, Dr. E.
Pervin Önder, Dr. Ertaç Tutkun and Prof. Dr. Serdar Tezcan and was published by TURDOK, Tübitak-
Turkish Scientific and Technical Documentation Center in 1986 under the name of “Bibliography of
Entomology and Agricultural Zoology of Turkey (1979-1983)”. Bibliographical information of 4416
publications are available in the first of these bibliographies and there are 1361 of them in the second
bibliography. Bibliographical information of a total of 5777 publications are classified by topics and can be
found in these two volumes.
In the 30 years since 1983 there are numerous new research institutes and universities opened in
Turkey. As a consequence, new researchers were bred and have conducted and finished projects in the
fields of entomology and agricultural zoology. Additionally, technical developments in printing techniques
resulted with many new journals and periodicals. And, also, the number and frequency of scientific meetings
increased. All these have played a role in the considerably increased number of publications. Advancements
in the areas of communication and information technologies had marked influence on, especially, the second
half of the last 30-year period. They effected the production speed of information as well as the speed of
reaching this information. While some of the produced information was instantaneously attainable, some was
harder to be reached due to the huge amount of information output.
In the preparation phase of the book called “650 Entomologists, Acarologists and Nematologists from
Turkey with Their Brief Life Histories” written by Prof. Dr. Serdar Tezcan and Dr. Füsun Tezcan which was
published by the Entomological Society of Turkey, scientists who conducted studies in these topics were
contacted. Along with their biographical information, information concerning their publications as of
December 31, 2011 was also tried to be gathered.
Within the scope of the studies which lasted approximately seven months, authors were requested to
send in their work from their publication lists which were in line with the concept of this publication. Those
which were present in previous bibliographies were sorted out and the remaining which belonged to the 28-
year period between 1984-2011 were compiled. They were standardized to the best that it could and have
been listed alphabetically by the author last names. Those publications which belonged to a period before
1984 but not found in previous bibliographies were also included in this compilation. It should be noted that

this study which features 10823 publications does not contain all literature published between 1984-2011.
Some works of our colleagues could not be included in this study because they did not tend to share their
publication lists despite they were accessed. Furthermore, the publications which belonged to foreign
researchers could only be included if they were co-produced with a local colleague. Unfortunately, their other
studies could not be included. It should also be noted that, differing from previous ones, the entries in this
book are not classified according to their topics.
The contents of this study is subject to become out of date quickly due to the rapid output rate of
information today. For this reason, this book has been printed in a limited number and has been distributed
to libraries and documentation centers. In order to facilitate and spread the utilization of the book, an e-book
format of it is posted in the electronic library in the website of the Entomological Society of Turkey
(http://www.entomoloji.org.tr/). This will make it available free of charge for those local and foreign
people who wish to make use of it. The e-book can be scanned or bibliographical information can be
extracted by writing either the author of the publication, title or name of the journal after clicking on the
related file.
The pdf files of the two volumes of Bibliography of Entomology and Agricultural Zoology of
Turkey, within the scope of a graduation thesis written in 2013 in the Department of Plant Protection of Ege
University, Faculty of Agriculture, has been posted in the abovementioned website with the intention to
facilitate the scanning of publications prior to 1984. We would like to point out that this will enable the user to
make use of the old publications by using the same method.
It is technologically easy to access information today; however, it may be harder to find it in a short
period of time due to the increased speed of output of information. We are wishing that this bibliographical
reference we have prepared will further contribute to the production of new knowledge today. We are
thinking that the target audience who would make use of this reference book is comprised of researchers in
the fields of biology, agriculture, forestry, veterinary, medicine, environmental sciences and standing on the
top of the list are our young colleagues who will study in the fields of entomology, acarology and nematology.
We would like to extend our gratitutes to the President of the Entomological Society of Turkey, Prof.
Dr. Enver Durmuşoğlu and to the members of the Board of Directors for their support by assuming the
printing of this study and posting its e-book form in their website which will make it possible to reach the

The present treatment—more a literature update than a state-of-research
essay—covers English-language works on the LTT published
from 2009–2015. I discuss scholarly commentaries, highlight a number
of important works on the LTT, and provide a bibliography. The bibliography lists over 20 commentaries, and over 250 other published items from this seven-year period, as well as over 25 unpublished LTT-related doctoral dissertations produced since 2000.

Organized with the assistance of an international advisory committee of medievalists from several disciplines, Medieval Latin: An Introduction and Bibliographical Guide is a new standard guide to the Latin language and literature of the period from c. A.D. 200 to 1500. It promises to be indispensable as a handbook in university courses in Medieval Latin and as a point of departure for the study of Latin texts and documents in any of the fields of medieval studies.

Comprehensive in scope, the guide provides introductions to, and bibliographic orientations in, all the main areas of Medieval Latin language, literature, and scholarship. Part One consists of an introduction and sizable listing of general print and electronic reference and research tools. Part Two focuses on issues of language, with introductions to such topics as Biblical and Christian Latin, and Medieval Latin pronunciation, orthography, morphology and syntax, word formation and lexicography, metrics, prose styles, and so on. There are chapters on the Latin used in administration, law, music, commerce, the liturgy, theology and philosophy, science and technology, and daily life. Part Three offers a systematic overview of Medieval Latin literature, with introductions to a wide range of genres and to translations from and into Latin. Each chapter concludes with a bibliography of fundamental works--texts, lexica, studies, and research aids.

This guide satisfies a long-standing need for a reference tool in English that focuses on medieval latinity in all its specialized aspects. It will be welcomed by students, teachers, professional latinists, medievalists, humanists, and general readers interested in the role of Latin as the learned lingua franca of western Europe. It may also prove valuable to reference librarians assembling collections concerned with Latin authors and texts of the postclassical period.

The mission carried out by the Society of Jesus in the Ethiopian highlands
from 1556 to 1632 has been for the last two decades object of an important
number of publications. The interest for the political and religious activities
of the missionaries has gained momentum; there is hardly a meeting on the
history of Ethiopia that does not include at least one contribution dedicated
to this issue. The bibliography on this mission is growing at an increasing
pace. An essay reviewing the main scholarly trends and providing the most
complete list of titles was, thus, heavily needed. Serious research is based on a sober knowledge of what has been produced and an awareness of what remains still to be studied. It is our hope that this work will contribute to
both goals.

Con il termine "famiglie subalpine" si intendono le famiglie presenti (all'interno degli Stati continentali dell'antico Regno di Sardegna, governati dalla dinastia sabauda) nella storia e nelle vicende di Piemonte, Valle d'Aosta, Nizza, Nizzardo, Lomellina, Vigevanasco (Vigevano) regioni che, fino alla seconda metà dell'Ottocento, costituirono il nucleo coeso sul versante italiano dei potenti domini di Casa Savoia). La Bibliografia delle famiglie subalpine costituisce un percorso bibliografico, in cui i contenuti di poco meno di 10.000 oggetti bibliografici, volumi, saggi e studi prodotti nell'ambito di numerose discipline sono stati vagliati, analizzati criticamente e talvolta indicizzati, altre volte collegati tra loro, in vari modi e a vari livelli, rilevanti per indagare storia, impegno sociale, eventi, valori, committenze artistiche e architettoniche, genealogie, stemmi, cognomi, personaggi di decine di migliaia di famiglie appartenenti ai suddetti territori subalpini. Numerosi sono però i riferimenti a famiglie anche di altre zone appartenenti agli Stati sabaudi, come la regione della Savoia e la Liguria piemontese. Ma sono frequenti anche le notizie riguardanti famiglie genovesi, liguri in genere e altre di cui si ricorda la presenza nella storia subalpina. In questa versione dell'opera i primi 5 volumi pubblicati sono stati riuniti in un unico file pdf, facilmente consultabile, che presenta solo modeste variazioni rispetto ai volumi a stampa che sono stati ancora oggetto di un certo numero di correzioni.

The term "subalpine families" refers to the families present (within the continental States of the ancient Kingdom of Sardinia, ruled by the Savoy dynasty) in the history and events of Piedmont, Valle d'Aosta, Nice, Nizzardo, Lomellina, Vigevanasco (Vigevano) regions which, up to the second half of the nineteenth century, formed the cohesive nucleus on the Italian side of the powerful dominions of the House of Savoy). The Bibliography of subalpine families constitutes a bibliographic path, in which the contents of just under 10,000 bibliographic objects, volumes, essays and studies produced in the context of numerous disciplines have been screened, critically analyzed and sometimes indexed, other times linked together, in various ways and at various levels, relevant for investigating history, social commitment, events, values, artistic and architectural commissions, genealogies, coats of arms, surnames, characters of tens of thousands of families belonging to the aforementioned subalpine territories. However, there are numerous references to families also from other areas belonging to the Savoy states, such as the Savoy region and Piedmontese Liguria. But there are also frequent news regarding Genoese families, Ligurians in general and others whose presence in subalpine history is remembered. In this version of the work, the first 5 volumes published have been brought together in a single pdf file, which can be easily consulted, which presents only modest variations compared to the printed volumes which have still been subject to a certain number of corrections.
