German online gaming company edict egaming has announced that it has been granted permission to provide games to the Canadian province of Ontario by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, although the list of casinos the company will be working with wasn't made publicly available.
edict has been in operation since 1998 and the company provides both IT services as well as online casino gaming software to its customers. The group is based in Hamburg, Germany and supplies games to betting sites through its platform. The company is a subsidiary of Merkur Gaming, and as such, it puts out titles from Merkur and associated studios like Blueprint Gaming, Booming Games, Apparat Games, and Hölle Games.
This move will help edict continue expanding into the North American market, which is seeing various states in the United States adopting online casino gaming.
"We are delighted to have received AGCO approval for our Merkur games in Ontario," said edict egaming CEO Domic-Daniel Lienard. "This is definitely a big step for edict and we are very excited to showcase ourselves to new audiences on the global stage in this dynamic market."
