Top Sport Issued Another Fine in Lithuania

This story was published more than 1 year ago.

For at least the fourth time in less than a year, gambling operator Top Sport has been fined by the Lithuania Gambling Supervisory Authority for violating the country's regulations, this time related to remote gaming operations.

The fine was for €15,000 after the company was found to have allowed a player to deposit €14,965 using another's person's payment card. This violates Lithuanian rules, which stipulate that non-cash deposits must be made from accounts belonging to the player involved.

This is just the latest fine for Top Sport in the country, which was fined €15,000 for not having proper CCTV coverage at retail locations in January. The company was fined €15,000 in November for allowing a punter outside the country to play on their site, and was fined in September for related security camera issues.

Top Sport was also fined €25,000 last August for violating marketing rules by emailing details of gambling products to customers.

Top Sport has the option of appealing the fine, but it's not clear whether the company intends on doing so.

Casino Listings News will inform readers of the next inevitable fine from Top Sport via Lithuanian regulators.

Topsport is the oldest and worst Lithuanian gambling operator. I started my gambling career there. At first it was the only one operator in the country. So they used that situation and was giving unfair odds for sport events.
This is the only operator in my country who is charging withdrawals. Payments are the slowest. They always pay but it takes minimum 5 days.
But despite that it always had bad reputation they still control about 50% of the market. I dont know if they accept foreign players but if they do - avoid this place.
And this 15 k fine is nothing for them. They used to pay them. Its just one deposit from one addicted high roller.

Interesting take, Vanilipas. It sounds like they have an old history there and coast by on their history. Almost like a William Hill?

They just dont care. They have their business strategy, it has worked successfully for many years, so why change something? Same owners since company started to operate. One of two owners was professional basketball player. However not very good like and his company 🙂
They limit very quickly winning players so you play there as long as you are a loser or lucky looser. But if you make value betting the door will be closed very quickly.
But anyway comparing with many online casinos with bad reputation who dont pay winnings or creating reasons not to pay, Top sport is not so bad. Its safe place to play but not very fair at least.
