Betway Extends Partnership With Hamburg European Open

This story was published more than 2 years ago.

Online betting operator Betway has announced that they've reached an agreement with the Hamburg European Open tennis tournament, and will extend their existing partnership for the competition through this year.

The deal will see Betway staying on as the tournament's Official Betting Sponsor, gaining access to exclusive marketing rights and signage at the tournament. The two entities worked together beginning in 2021, and the agreement was successful enough that it lured Betway back in for the added exposure.

The 2022 Hamburg European Open will have both men and women's competitions and will feature the likes of Danielle Collins, Andrea Petkovic, and Holgner Rune, among others. The competition is slated to run from July 16th through the 24th and will be hosted in Rothenbaum.

"We are very proud to continue our fantastic relationship with Hamburg European Open," said Betway CEO Anthony Werkman. "This year, we are also extremely happy to be creating a piece of history as we partner with the women's tournament."

"It's very important for the women's game to receive support in order to allow it grow, so it's great that we've been able to play a part in this via our partnership with Hamburg European Open."

Hamburg European Open Tournament Director Sanda Reichel also commented, adding: "We are delighted to announce the expansion of our partnership with Betway. They came aboard last year in unusual times with a multi-year deal and now they committed even more generously to the idea of a men's and women's tournament.

"They are supporting us in making history with the combined event returning to Hamburg after 44 years."
