Slotland Progressive Hit for $176,978

This story was published more than 4 years ago.

Over the weekend a lucky gambler hit it big at Slotland Casino, taking home the sitewide jackpot worth $176,978.

The win is the 29th time that the jackpot has been won, and it comes in above the $167,466 average paid out. The largest win that we've recorded for the jackpot is $315,122, which was won by Debra at the casino in 2017.

Slotland's progressive is available on almost every game at the casino, and it grows with every non-jackpot winning spin. The prize continues to grow until it is randomly set off. It can only be won while betting the maximum amount on each game, but aside from that there are no special conditions tied to the prize.

The casino is usually really good about letting players know about their wins, and we'll be updating readers as we learn more.

Nice one, great to read someone in fact could enjoy these uncertain times, I'd invest the profit in toilet paper..that seems to be the new gold right now😉

Article is wrong -- the progressive jackpots at both Winaday and Slotland require very specific bet amounts, usually $5 or higher depending on the game (sometimes a max bet of $25 is required) to be eligible.

The jackpot is also supposedly symbol-driven and not random (though who knows how it actually works on the backend).

Thanks, you are quite right and we have corrected that. Their jackpot is a little weird in that you can win it playing video poker and other games as well as all the slot machines. However in the card games it is not a natural function of the cards dealt, otherwise it would be far easier to win on those games than the slots. So they have some other random mechanism to decide if you have won it. I don't remember ever seeing it won on anything other than a slot machine.
