Abstract

The present invention relates to a method and to an apparatus for widening the area in which a device driven by the force of wind or tidal current flow sweeps across the flow of fluid to economically utilize the force of wind or tidal current flow. The method and the apparatus of the present invention convert the linear motion of the device caused by the flow force via a motion converter to drive a power converter, or transmit the linear motion directly to the power converter, to enable the power converter to generate electrical energy or hydraulic or pneumatic pressure through the linear motion relative to the surrounding fluid or ground. The thus-generated electrical energy or hydraulic or pneumatic pressure is then transmitted to consumers.
