Abstract

　変形、破損等の不具合の発生を抑制しつつ、より短時間でハニカム成形体を乾燥することが可能なハニカム成形体の乾燥方法及び乾燥装置を提供する。湿球温度が７０°C以上となるように調温調湿した過熱水蒸気、又は水蒸気と加熱空気の混合ガスをハニカム成形体のセルに通過させることにより、ハニカム成形体を乾燥させる乾燥方法である。過熱水蒸気Ａを供給する蒸気供給部１２と、蒸気供給部１２から供給される過熱水蒸気Ａを整流するバッファチャンバ１４と、バッファチャンバ１４の上方に備えられ、ハニカム成形体１８を配置するための上方チャンバ１６と、ハニカム成形体１８を通過した過熱水蒸気Ａが回収されるフード部２０とを備える、ハニカム成形体の乾燥装置１０である。
