Abstract
Compuestos amida preparados a partir de ácidos carboxílicos heteroarilos y diazabiciloalcanos que exhiben selectividad para los receptores nicotínicos neuronales del subtipo alfa 4 beta 2 en el sistema nervioso central, composiciones farmacéuticas que los incluyen, métodos de preparacion y su uso para fabricar un medicamento para tratar y/o prevenir enfermedades del Sistema Nervioso Central. Los compuestos pueden (i) alterar el numero de receptores colinergicos nicotínicos del cerebro del paciente, (ii) exhibir efectos neuroprotectores, y (iii) cuando se utilizan en cantidades efectivas no dan como resultado efectos colaterales adversos.
