A method for predicting the risk of locoregional recurrence in patients with lung cancer after pneumonectomy with computed tomography of the chest organs 6 and 12 months after surgery using the Vidar DICOM Viewer program (or any other DICOM file viewer program that has a volume determination function), characterized in that it is performed assessment of the volume of the post-pneumonectomy cavity and comparing it with the volume of the cavity of the previous study, and in cases where the volume of the cavity increases or remains the same (i.e. the ratio of the previous volume to the present is less than or equal to 1.0), the development of locoregional recurrence of lung cancer in the patient is predicted ...
