Claims (10)
- X전극, Y전극 및 Z전극을 포함하는 플라즈마 표시 패널의 구동 방법에 있어서,첫 번째 서브필드의 리셋 구간에서 상기 Y전극과 상기 Z전극 사이의 면방전에 의하여 벽전하가 형성되는 제1 단계;상기 첫 번째 서브필드의 리셋 구간에서 상기 Y전극과 상기 Z전극 사이의 면방전에 의하여 벽전하가 소정 수준으로 소거되는 제2 단계;상기 첫 번째 서브필드의 리셋 구간에서 상기 X전극과 상기 Z전극 사이의 대향방전에 의하여 벽전하가 소정 수준으로 소거되는 제3 단계;두 번째 서브필드를 포함하는 이후의 서브필드의 리셋 구간에서 상기 Y전극과 상기 Z전극 사이의 면방전에 의하여 벽전하가 소정 수준으로 소거되는 제4 단계; 및두 번째 서브필드를 포함하는 이후의 서브필드의 리셋 구간에서 상기 X전극과 상기 Y전극 사이의 대향방전에 의하여 벽전하가 소정 수준으로 소거되는 제5 단계를 포함하는 플라즈마 표시 패널의 구동 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제1 단계에서의 면방전은 상기 Y전극에 인가되는 램프 업 펄스에 의하여 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 표시 패널의 구동 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제2 단계에서의 면방전은 상기 Z전극의 전위가 Vs로 급상승하고, 상기 Y전극의 전위가 -Vmy까지 하강함으로써 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 표시 패널의 구동 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제3 단계에서의 면방전은 상기 Y전극의 전위는 0 전위로 급상승한 후 소정의 시간 동안 유지하다 -Vny까지 하강하고, 상기 Z전극의 전위는 제1 전압이 됨으로서 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 표시 패널의 구동 방법.
- 제4항에 있어서,상기 제1 전압은 0V 이상이고 어드레싱 구간시 상기 Z전극에 인가되는 전압(Vz)보다 작은 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 표시 패널의 구동 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제4단계에서의 면방전은 상기 Z전극의 전위가 Vs로 급상승하고, 상기 Y전극의 전위는 -Vmy까지 하강함으로써 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 표시 패널.
- 제6항에 있어서,상기 Y전극의 전위가 Vs에서 -Vmy 전압으로 램프 하강하는 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 표시 패널의 구동 방법.
- 제6항에 있어서,상기 Y전극의 전위가 Vs 전압에서 0V로 떨어진 후 0V에서 -Vmy까지 램프 하강하는 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 표시 패널의 구동 방법.
- 제1항에 있어서,상기 제5 단계에서의 대향 방전은 상기 Y전극의 전위가 0 전위로 급상승한 후 소정의 시간 동안 유지하고 -Vny까지 하강하고, 상기 Z전극의 전위는 제2 전압이 됨으로써 이루어지는 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 표시 패널의 구동 방법.
- 제9항에 있어서,상기 제2 전압은 0V 이상이고 어드레싱 구간시 상기 Z전극에 인가되는 전압(Vz)보다 작은 것을 특징으로 하는 플라즈마 표시 패널의 구동 방법.
