Abstract
(해결 수단) 배터리 보호 IC 는, 과전류 검출 단자와 VDD 단자 사이에 제 1 스위치 소자를 구비하고, 충전기의 극성이 반대로 접속되었을 때에, 과전류 검출 단자와 VDD 단자 사이의 전류 경로를 차단하는 구성으로 하였다. 또, 배터리 보호 IC 는, 충전 제어 단자와 VDD 단자 사이에 제 2 스위치 소자를 구비하고, 충전기의 극성이 반대로 접속되었을 때에, 충전 제어 단자와 VDD 단자 사이의 전류 경로를 차단하는 구성으로 하였다.

도 3 은, 종래의 배터리 보호 IC (3) 의 기생 다이오드를 나타내는 블록도이다.

Claims (6)
- 2 차 전지가 접속되는 VDD 단자 및 VSS 단자와,
외부 단자에 접속되는 과전류 검출 단자와,
상기 2 차 전지를 충전하는 충전기에 의한 충전 전류를 제어하는 충전 제어 FET 가 접속되는 충전 제어 단자를 구비하고, 상기 2 차 전지의 전압 및 전류를 감시하고, 상기 2 차 전지의 충방전을 제어하는 배터리 보호 IC 로서,
상기 과전류 검출 단자와 상기 VDD 단자 사이에 제 1 스위치 소자를 구비하고, 상기 제 1 스위치 소자는, 상기 충전기의 극성이 반대로 접속되었을 때에, 상기 과전류 검출 단자와 상기 VDD 단자 사이의 전류 경로를 차단하고,
상기 제 1 스위치 소자는, 드레인이 상기 과전류 검출 단자에 접속되고, 게이트가 상기 VDD 단자에 접속된 NMOS 트랜지스터인 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 보호 IC. - 삭제
- 제 1 항에 있어서,
소스가 상기 제 1 스위치 소자의 소스에 접속되고, 드레인이 상기 VDD 단자에 접속되고, 게이트가 상기 과전류 검출 단자에 접속된, NMOS 트랜지스터를 추가로 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 보호 IC. - 제 1 항에 있어서,
상기 충전 제어 단자와 상기 VDD 단자 사이에 형성된 제 2 스위치 소자를 추가로 구비하고, 상기 제 2 스위치 소자는, 상기 충전기의 극성이 반대로 접속되었을 때에, 상기 충전 제어 단자와 상기 VDD 단자 사이의 전류 경로를 차단하는 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 보호 IC. - 제 4 항에 있어서,
상기 제 2 스위치 소자는, 드레인이 상기 충전 제어 단자에 접속되고, 게이트가 상기 VDD 단자에 접속된, NMOS 트랜지스터인 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 보호 IC. - 충전기가 접속되는 제 1 외부 단자 및 제 2 외부 단자와,
상기 제 1 외부 단자와 상기 제 2 외부 단자 사이에 직렬로 접속된 2 차 전지, 방전 제어 FET 및 충전 제어 FET 와,
상기 2 차 전지의 전압과 상기 제 2 외부 단자의 전압이 입력되고, 상기 2 차 전지의 충방전을 제어하는 제 1 항 및 제 3 항 내지 제 5 항 중 어느 한 항에 기재된 배터리 보호 IC 를 구비한 것을 특징으로 하는 배터리 장치.
