Description
Claims (21)
- 선택된 주파수(frequency)로 소적을 형성하도록 작동되는 필요시 적하형(drop on demand type)의 정전기식 프린터용 잉크로서, 잉크가 비전도성 액체, 불용성의 하전가능한 마킹(marking) 입자 및 이러한 입자에 대한 이동도 개질제를 포함하고, 선택된 주파수로 응집되어 프린터의 분출 지점으로부터 분출되도록 되어 있는 타입이며, 이동도 개질제가 하전가능한 입자와 상호작용하거나 하전가능한 입자상에 흡착되어 입자의 하전도를 변화시킴으로써 입자의 전하 대 질량비를 변화시키는 화합물이며, 잉크 중의 이동도 개질제의 양을 변화시켜 잉크의 소적을 선택된 주파수로 응집시키고 분출시킬 수 있음을 특징으로 하는 잉크.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 이동도 개질제가 카르복실산의 금속염, 금속 비누, 지방산, 레시틴, 유기 인 화합물, 숙신이미드, 술포숙시네이트, 및 개질된 로진 에스테르, 아크릴 수지, 비닐 수지, 탄화수소 수지 또는 이들의 혼합물을 포함하는 가용성 또는 부분 가용성 수지로 구성된 군으로부터 선택됨을 특징으로 하는 잉크.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 이동도 개질제가 헵탄산의 리튬염, 헵탄산의 카드뮴염, 헵탄산의 칼슘염, 헵탄산의 망간염 및 헵탄산의 마그네슘염, 옥탄산의 지르코늄염, 옥탄산의 알루미늄염, 옥탄산의 코발트염 및 옥탄산의 망간염, 및 2-에틸 헥산산의 지르코늄염, 2-에틸 헥산산의 알루미늄염, 2-에틸 헥산산의 코발트염 및 2-에틸 헥산산의 망간염으로 구성된 군으로부터 선택됨을 특징으로 하는 잉크.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 이동도 개질제가 0.05중량% 내지 20중량% 농도로 존재함을 특징으로 하는 잉크.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 이동도 개질제가 0.1중량% 내지 10중량% 농도로 존재함을 특징으로 하는 잉크.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 비전도성 액체가 지방족 탄화수소, 방향족 탄화수소, 염소화된 용매, 실리콘 유체 또는 오일, 및 식물성 오일로 구성된 군으로부터 선택됨을 특징으로 하는 잉크.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 불용성 마킹 입자가 안료, 불용성 염료, 중합체 또는 이들의 혼합물로 구성된 군으로부터 선택됨을 특징으로 하는 잉크.
- 제 5항에 있어서, 불용성 마킹 입자가 잉크의 0.5중량% 내지 30중량% 농도로 존재함을 특징으로 하는 잉크.
- 제 7항에 있어서, 불용성 마킹 입자가 잉크의 3중량% 내지 20중량% 농도로 존재함을 특징으로 하는 잉크.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 개질된 로진 에스테르, 아크릴 수지, 비닐 수지, 및 알파 메틸 스티렌과 폴리이소부틸렌을 포함하는 탄화수소 수지로 구성된 군으로부터 선택된 결합제를 추가로 포함함을 특징으로 하는 잉크.
- 제 1항에 있어서, 잉크의 전기 저항이 109오옴.cm 이상임을 특징으로 하는 잉크.
- 정전기식 잉크젯 장치(electrostatic ink jet apparatus)로부터의 잉크의 고유한 소적 형성 주파수를, 이러한 정전기식 잉크젯 장치에서 요구되는 소적 형성 주파수에 매칭시키는 방법으로서, 선택된 양의 이동도 개질제를 잉크에 첨가시키는 단계를 포함하고, 잉크가 비전도성 액체 및 불용성 안료 입자를 가지며 안료 입자 및 액체의 레올로지에 따라 고유한 소적 형성 주파수를 갖는 타입이며, 이동도 개질제가 액체에 첨가되어 입자의 하전도를 변화시킴으로써 입자의 전하 대 질량비를 변화시키는 화합물임을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 12항에 있어서, 이동도 개질제가 카르복실산의 금속염, 금속 비누, 지방산, 레시틴, 유기 인 화합물, 숙신이미드, 술포숙시네이트, 및 개질된 로진 에스테르, 아크릴 수지, 비닐 수지, 탄화수소 수지 또는 이들의 혼합물을 포함하는 가용성 또는 불용성 수지로 구성된 군으로부터 선택됨을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 12항에 있어서, 이동도 개질제가 지르코늄 옥타노에이트, 헵탄산의 리튬염, 헵탄산의 카드뮴염. 헵탄산의 칼슘염, 헵탄산의 망간염 및 헵탄산의 마그네슘염, 옥탄산의 지르코늄염, 옥탄산의 알루미늄염, 옥탄산의 코발트염 및 옥탄산의 망간염, 및 2-에틸 헥산산의 지르코늄염, 2-에틸 헥산산의 알루미늄염, 2-에틸 헥산산의 코발트염 및 2-에틸 헥산산의 망간염으로 구성된 군으로부터 선택됨을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 12항에 있어서, 이동도 개질제가 0.05중량% 내지 20중량% 농도로 존재함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 12항에 있어서, 이동도 개질제가 0.1중량% 내지 10중량% 농도로 존재함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 상이한 색의 잉크들이 선택된 지점으로부터 분출되도록 되어 있고, 각각의 잉크가 잉크의 불용성 마킹 입자의 특성과 각각의 잉크의 액체 부분의 레올로지에 따라 상이한 고유한 소적 형성 주파수를 갖는 다중 분출점 정전기식 프린터의 각각의 분출점에 대해 소적 형성비를 매칭시키는 방법으로서, 소적 형성 주파수 비가 각각의 잉크에 대해 사실상 동일해지도록, 선택된 양의 이동도 개질제를 각각의 잉크에 첨가시켜서 이것의 고유한 소적 형성 주파수를 변화시키는 단계를 포함함을 특징으로 하는 방법.
- 제 17항에 있어서, 이동도 개질제가 카르복실산의 금속염, 금속 비누, 지방산, 레시틴, 유기 인 화합물, 숙신이미드, 술포숙시네이트, 및 개질된 로진 에스테르, 아크릴 수지, 비닐 수지, 탄화수소 수지 또는 이들의 혼합물을 포함하는 가용성 또는 불용성 수지로 구성된 군으로부터 선택됨을 특징으로 하는 방법.
