Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.液滴形成の選択された頻度で作動するようになっているドロップオンデマン ド型の静電プリンター用インクであって、 上記インクが、凝集し、選択された頻度でプリンター中で排出位置から排出 するようになっている型のものであり、 上記インクが非導電性液体、不溶性荷電マーキング粒子及び粒子用流動度調 節剤を含有し、 上記流動度調節剤が、上記荷電粒子と相互作用するか又はそれに吸着して、 上記粒子の荷電性、従って粒子の質量比を変化させる化合物であり、インク中の 流動度調節剤の量を変化して選択された頻度でインク液滴が凝集し、排出される ことを特徴とする、静電プリンター用インク。 2.上記流動度調節剤が、カルボン酸の金属塩、金属石鹸、脂肪酸、レシチン、 有機リン化合物、スクシンイミド、スルホスクシネート、改質エステルガム、ア クリル樹脂、ビニル樹脂及び炭化水素等の可溶性又は部分可溶性樹脂、又はこれ らの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求の範囲第1項記載の静電プリンター 用インク。 3.上記流動度調節剤が、ヘプタン酸のリチウム、カドミウム、カルシウム、マ ンガン及びマグネシウム塩、オクタン酸のジルコニウム、アルミニウム、コバル ト及びマンガン塩、及び2−エチルヘキサン酸のジルコニウム、アルミニウム、 コバルト及びマンガン塩からなる群から選択される、請求の範囲第1項記載の静 電プリンター用インク。 4.上記流動度調節剤が、0.05〜20重量%の濃度で存在する、請求の範囲 第1項記載の静電プリンター用インク。 5.上記流動度調節剤が、0.1〜10重量%の濃度で存在する、請求の範囲第 1項記載の静電プリンター用インク。 6.上記非導電性液体が、脂肪族炭化水素、芳香族炭化水素、塩素化された溶媒 、シリコーン液体又はシリコーンオイル及び植物油からなる群から選択される、 請求の範囲第1項記載の静電プリンター用インク。 7.上記不溶性マーキング粒子が、顔料、不溶性染料、ポリマー又はそれらの混 合物からなる群から選択される、請求の範囲第1項記載の静電プリンター用イン ク。 8.上記不溶性マーキング粒子が、インクの0.5〜30重量%の濃度で存在す る、請求の範囲第5項記載の静電プリンター用インク。 9.上記不溶性マーキング粒子が、インクの3〜20重量%の濃度で存在する、 請求の範囲第7項記載の静電プリンター用インク。 10.改質エステルガム、アクリル樹脂、ビニル樹脂、α−メチルスチレン及びポ リイソブチレン等の炭化水素系樹脂からなる群から選択されるバインダーを含む 、請求の範囲第1項記載の静電プリンター用インク。 11.上記インクの電気抵抗率が、少なくとも109オームcmである、請求の範 囲第1項記載の静電プリンター用インク。 12.静電インクジェット装置からのインクの液滴形成の特徴的な頻度をインクジ ェット装置中の液滴形成の要求される頻度と調和させる方法であって、 上記インクが非導電性液体及び不溶性顔料粒子を有するタイプであり、特徴的 な液的形成が顔料粒子及び液体のレオロジーに依存し、流動度調節剤の選択され た量をインクに添加し、上記流動度調節剤が、液体に添加されて、上記粒子の荷 電性、従って電荷対粒子の質量比を変化させる化合物であることを特徴とする方 法。 13.上記流動度調製剤が、カルボン酸の金属塩、金属石鹸、脂肪酸、レシチン、 有機リン化合物、スクシンイミド、スルホスクシネート、改質エステルガム、ア クリル樹脂、ビニル樹脂及び炭化水素等の可溶性又は部分可溶性樹脂、又はこれ らの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求の範囲第12項記載の方法。 14.上記流動度調節剤が、オクタン酸ジルコニウム、ヘプタン酸のリチウム、カ ドミウム、カルシウム、マンガン及びマグネシウム塩、オクタン酸のジルコニウ ム、アルミニウム、コバルト及びマンガン塩、及び2−エチルヘキサン酸のジル コニウム、アルミニウム、コバルト及びマンガン塩からなる群から選択される、 請求の範囲第12項記載の方法。 15.上記流動度調節剤が0.05〜20重量%の濃度で存在する、請求の範囲第 1 2項記載の方法。 16.上記流動度調節剤が0.1〜10重量%の濃度で存在する、請求の範囲第1 2項記載の方法。 17.多排出ポイント静電プリンターのそれぞれのポイントに対する液滴形成速度 を調和させる方法であって、 異なる色のインクが選択されたポイントから排出され、それぞれのインクが、 インクの不溶性マーキング粒子の特性及びそれぞれのインクの液体部分のレオロ ジーに依存して液滴形成の異なる特徴的な頻度を有し、液滴形成頻度が各々のイ ンクに対して実質的に同一となるように、特徴的な液滴形成頻度を変化させるた めに、それぞれのインクに流動度調節剤の選択された量を添加することを特徴と する方法。 18.上記流動度調節剤が、カルボン酸の金属塩、金属石鹸、脂肪酸、レシチン、 有機リン化合物、スクシンイミド、スルホスクシネート、改質エステルガム、ア クリル樹脂、ビニル樹脂及び炭化水素等の可溶性又は部分可溶性樹脂、又はこれ らの混合物からなる群から選択される、請求の範囲第17項記載の方法。 19.上記流動度調節剤が、オクタン酸ジルコニウム、ヘプタン酸のリチウム、カ ドミウム、カルシウム、マンガン及びマグネシウム塩、オクタン酸のジルコニウ ム、アルミニウム、コバルト及びマンガン塩、及び2−エチルヘキサン酸のジル コニウム、アルミニウム、コバルト及びマンガン塩からなる群から選択される、 請求の範囲第17項記載の方法。 20.上記流動度調節剤が、0.05〜20重量%の濃度で存在する、請求の範囲 第17項記載の方法。 21.上記流動度調節剤が、0.1〜10重量%の濃度で存在する、請求の範囲第 17項記載の方法。
