Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a cosmetic having improved moisture-retainability without increasing oil absorption, by pulverizing beta-1,3-glucan of yeast cell wall and compounding the powder to a cosmetic. CONSTITUTION:Protein in cell wall of beer yeast is hydrolyzed with a proteinase, heat-treated to deactivate the enzyme and cooled. The product is centrifuged to separate slurry solid composed mainly of the cell wall of yeast. The unreacted component is solubilized and removed with an alkali, the remaining part of the slurry is neutralized with citric acid and the product is dried to obtain beta-1,3-glucan powder. The powder is added to a cosmetic at an amount of 0.1-50%, preferably 1-20%.

評価した。その結果を表−4に示す。比較方法は5段階
評価で、比較例2を基準としバネ/I/12名の平均値
を用いた。結果は、べたつきのない、しっとりした潤い
を持ったクリームが得られた。
