Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the usage of flux and produce a heat exchanger having superior pitting corrosion resistance by using fins of an Al alloy having specific composition and brazing materials consisting of a specific alloy.
CONSTITUTION: Fins 3 of an Al alloy consisting of 0.1W2.0% Zn, ≤1.5% Mn and the balance Al with impurities, and formed parts or welded tubes 2 consisting of brazing sheets made by cladding brazing material consisting of an Al-Si alloy on one or both surfaces of core materials of an Al alloy are combined to make a heat exchanger. This heat exchanger is brazed by using NaCl-KCl-LiCo-LiF type flux contg. 4W12% ZnCl2.
