Abstract

PURPOSE:To immediately detect the fact that a short circuit accident exists between cores, when a connector has been installed to a flat cable, by providing a conductive state detecting means having a connecting means connected to a contact pin connecting to each core of the flat cable. CONSTITUTION:When output pins 6-1-6-10 of a connector 4 have been inserted into conductive hold parts 8-1-8-10 provided on the upper surface of a megger 7, an electric connection is formed. An electric power supply part 10 provided in the inside of the megger 7 generates high voltage so that a current flows even in a state that any of connectors 5-1-5-10 does not contact with a core sufficiently. In case when the connector 4 has been made to press welding with a flat cable 1 in an abnormal state, for instance, if the connector pin 5-1 contacts with a core 2-1 and 2-2, a conductive path is formed through the connector pin 5-1- the core 2-2- the connector pin 5-2, between a conductor 11 and 12, by which a lamp 9 is lighted, and a contact failure state is displayed.
