Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the creep embrittlement resistance and the strength of the high temp. steel by increasing an amount of Sol. Al and reducing an amount of carbon and an alloying element in a conventional high temp. Cr-Mo Steel.
CONSTITUTION: Said high temp. steel contains 0.04W0.17% of C, 0.15W0.80% of Si 0.40W0.80% of Mn, 0.50W5.50% of Cr, 0.45W1.10% of Mo, 0.0003W0.0010% of B, 0.05W0.10% of Sol Al and comprises the remainder of Fe substantially and is excellent in the creep embrittlement resistance and the strength. Said high temp. steel is one of which the creep embrittlement resistance and the strength are enhanced by increasing an amount of the Sol. Al in the conventional 1.25Cr-0.5Mo high temp. steel to attain to enhance the hardening property due to Al and application of a minute amount of B contained in the steel as well as by lowering an amount of carbon and saving the alloying element (including no addition of Cu, Ni).
