CONSTITUTION: This structural steel consists of 0.02W0.20% C, 0.01W1.0% Si, 0.3W2.0% Mn, ≤0.0020% S, ≤0.020% P, ≤0.0035% O, ≤0.15% sol. Al, 0.0010W0.0070% Ca, 0.0003W0.002% REM, and the balance Fe and inevitable impurities or further contains Ti, Nb, V, Cu, Ni, Cr, Mo, B, etc. as required. By this composition this structural steel used in a marine structure, etc. has enhanced Z-direction crack resistance such as lamellar tear or hydrogen induced crack resistance.
