Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a band pass filter having no side lobe, by securing a specified length and combination for the interlaced electrodes of the transducer of one side forming a surface elastic wave filter. CONSTITUTION:Two sets of transducers A and B consisting of the interlaced electrodes are provided on the piezoelectric substrate 1, thus obtaining a surface elastic wave filter. The interlaced electrodes eA11, bA21... of the transducer A are provided with a space of lambda/2 secured; and the interlaced electrodes eB11, eB12, eB13 plus eB21 and eB22 of the transducer B are provided with a space of lambda/2, respectively. At the same time, the electrode lengths of eB21 and eB22 are set to R2 and R3 each to secure the relations of 0<R2<=R3 and 0.01R1<=R3<=0.55R1. Furthermore, the interlaced electrodes eB21', eB22', eB23', eB11' and eB12' are provided so as to secure a relation of asymmetrical distribution regarding the asymmetric line.
