Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain wide fractional band width by composing a two-phase unidirectional converter of two kinds of comb line electrodes, differing in number, applied with a reference signal and theta deg.-out-of-phase signal respectively. CONSTITUTION:Piezoelectric substrate 11 is provided with common electrode 12, 0 deg.-side electrode 13 applied with a reference signal, and theta deg.-side electrode 14 applied with a signal theta deg. out of phase with the reference signal. Intersecting finger electrodes in electrodes 13 and 14 are so arranged that while inter-center distances are lT and lT', the both will be an integer greater than wavelength lambda0 of an elastic wave. In this arrangement, the number of electrodes of 0 deg.-side electrode 13 should differ from that of theta deg.-side electrode 14. As a result, loss characteristics are greatly improved for substrate with various coupling coefficients, the fractional band width can be widen, and the arrangement of intersecting finger electrodes can be set relatively freely. Consequently, sampling errors can be reduced in weighting and frequency characteristics can be improvided.
