Abstract
PURPOSE:To enable direct transmission of sub-millimeter wave signal output on low loss line without being subjected to the effect externally with a simple construction. CONSTITUTION:On the conductor flat plate 11, the waveguides 12 in orthogonal crossing, dielectric substance line 13, and shield external walls 14,14', are present. In the waveguides, one end is terminated with the moving short bar 15, another end is with non-reflection terminator 16, and the dielectric substance line 13 is terminated with the short circuit bar 17. The semiconductor element 18 is loaded in the waveguide 12, and the semiconductor element 19 is loaded in the dielectric substance line for the part where the waveguide 12 and the dielectric substance line 13 are orthogonally crossed. The oscillation circuit consists of the semiconductor 18 and the moving short circuit bar 15 to produce the oscillation in millimeter wave band. When this signal is emitted to the semiconductor element 19, the high harmonic wave output, i.e., sub-millimeter wave signal is produced with the non- linear operation of the semiconductor element 19. This output is picked up via the dielectric substance line 13.
