Abstract
PURPOSE: To check boiling dry through leakage of heat to the metal collector case during the suspension of the operation by means of a heat conducting plate provided for the heat collector or the case in such a manner as to be free to approach and separate from the mechanism or the case.
CONSTITUTION: A heat collecting mechanism provided on the back of a heat collecting plate 3 with a heat collecting pipe 4 connected to a header 5 is housed in a metal collector case having the open top covered with a transparent plate 6, while a thermal insulator 7 is arranged on the inner sides and the bottom of the case except for one surface on the side of the header 5. The heat conducting plate 8 is bent on the header side and a support bar 9 is inserted into the inside thereof. In this manner, one end of the plate 8 bonded on the header 5 while the other end thereof is made elastically free. A case 11 is arranged lengthwise on the bottom of the header 5 and a thermostat 10 having a spiral bimetal inserted thereinto is provided in the case. A shaft 13 is connected to one end of the bimetal 12 so that an arm 14 provided at the other end of the shaft turns as the temperature rises in case of boiling dry. Thus, the heat generated therein is made to leak to the collector case 2.
