Description
<表示装置の構成>
まず、表示装置の構成について説明する。図1は、本実施の形態の表示装置の一例を示す表示面側の平面図である。図1では、表示領域DAと周辺領域PFAの境界、表示領域DAと額縁領域FRAとの境界、および額縁領域FRAと透明領域TRAとの境界のそれぞれを二点鎖線で示している。また、図1では、シール材SLMが配置される領域をドットパターンで示している。図2は、図1のA-A線に沿った断面図である。後述する図5に示すように、基板10と基板20との間には、液晶層LQの他、複数の導電層や絶縁層があるが、図2では図示を省略している。図3は、図1のB-B線に沿った拡大断面図である。図4は、図1に示す表示装置が備える表示領域DAにおける画素周辺の回路構成例を示す回路図である。図5は、図2に示す表示装置の表示領域の拡大断面図である。図5では、基板10の厚さ方向(図5に示すZ方向)における走査信号線GLと映像信号線SLとの位置関係の例を示すため、図5とは異なる断面に設けられた走査信号線GLを点線で示している。
次に、本実施の形態の表示装置DSP1が備えるタッチパネル機能について説明する。図6は、図1に示す表示装置が備える共通電極(検出電極)のレイアウトの例を示す平面図である。
次に、図6に示す透明領域TRAの周辺の構造について説明する。図7は、図6の透明領域に配置された透明導電膜のレイアウトを示す拡大平面図である。図7は平面図であるが、透明導電膜TCF2の輪郭を明示するため、透明導電膜TCF2にドットパターンを付している。図8は、図7のA-A線に沿った拡大断面図である。
実施の形態1では、図3および図8に示すように、透明領域TRAに貫通孔TH1が形成された表示装置DSP1について説明した。実施の形態2では、透明領域TRAに貫通孔TH1が形成されていない場合の表示装置の構成例について説明する。なお、本実施の形態では、実施の形態1との相違点を中心に説明し、実施の形態1で説明した表示装置DSP1と同様な構造の部分に関しては、原則として重複する説明を省略する。また、必要な場合には、既に説明した図1~図8を参照して説明する。
実施の形態2で説明した表示装置DSP2の変形例について説明する。図12は、図10に示す表示装置に対する変形例を示す拡大平面図である。図13は、図12のA-A線に沿った拡大断面図である。本実施の形態では、実施の形態2との相違点を中心に説明し、実施の形態1で説明した表示装置DSP1と同様な構造の部分に関しては、原則として重複する説明を省略する。また、必要な場合には、既に説明した図1~図11を参照して説明する。
次に実施の形態1で説明した表示装置DSP1および実施の形態3で説明した表示装置DSP3を組み合わせた変形例について説明する。図14は、図7に示す表示装置に対する他の変形例を示す拡大平面図である。図15は、図14のA-A線に沿った拡大断面図である。本実施の形態では、実施の形態1および3との相違点を中心に説明し、実施の形態1で説明した表示装置DSP1と同様な構造の部分に関しては、原則として重複する説明を省略する。また、必要な場合には、既に説明した図1~図13を参照して説明する。

- 互いに対向するように配置される第1基板および第2基板と、
前記第1基板および前記第2基板のそれぞれが備える表示領域と、
平面視において前記表示領域の内側にある透明領域と、
平面視において前記透明領域の外縁に沿って前記透明領域を囲み、前記表示領域と前記透明領域との間にある額縁領域と、
前記第1基板若しくは前記第2基板のどちらか一方に形成され、前記透明領域に重なる開口部を有する、偏光板と、
前記第1基板と前記第2基板との間にある第1導電層に形成される第1透明導電膜と、
