本発明の一実施形態においては、Cu-Sn-Biを含む粉末に無機化合物を混合し、焼結することによって銅合金摺動材料を製造する。このような、製造方法は、例えば、Cu-Sn-Bi系合金粉末に窒化クロムや窒化チタンなどの無機化合物を混合し、焼結が行われることで実現される。具体的には、Cu-Sn-Bi系合金粉末は、所定組成(後述)になるように調整された予備合金を、アトマイズ法によって粉末状にした後、粉末粒径を150μm以下に分級することで作製される。
以下、上述の製造方法によって焼結層として製造された銅合金摺動材料について実施した試験結果を説明する。表1は、実施例1~12,比較例1~5におけるSnおよびBiの質量%、無機化合物の平均粒径および体積%と、各材料の特徴および試験結果を示している。
本発明に係る銅合金摺動材料は、上述の実施形態に示した軸受以外にも、種々の摺動部材に利用することができる。例えば、本発明の銅合金摺動材料によってトランスミッション用のギヤブシュやピストンピンブシュ・ボスブシュ等のラジアル軸受を形成してもよい。また、軸受の用途としても限定されず、エンジンのクランクシャフトを軸受けするすべり軸受であってもよいし、他の用途のすべり軸受を形成してもよい。基材は、銅合金摺動材料が形成される部材であれば良く、その組成や形状等は限定されない。
Claims (2)
- 0.5~12.0質量%のSn、2.0~8.0質量%のBi、1.0~5.0体積%の無機化合物を含有し、残部がCuおよび不可避不純物からなる銅合金摺動材料であって、
前記無機化合物は、平均粒径が0.5~3.0μmである第1無機化合物と、平均粒径が4.0~20.0μmである前記第1無機化合物と異なる第2無機化合物と、からなり、
前記第1無機化合物の体積分率を、前記第2無機化合物の体積分率で除した値は、0.1~1.0であり、
前記第1無機化合物および前記第2無機化合物のビッカース硬さは1100より大きい、
銅合金摺動材料。 - 前記第1無機化合物は0.3~1.0体積%であり、
前記第2無機化合物は0.5~4.5体積%である、
請求項1に記載の銅合金摺動材料。
