Claims (11)
- 排気ガスが流入する触媒コンバータを有した排気浄化装置において、
前記触媒コンバータは、前記排気ガスを浄化する触媒担体を保持する内筒と、前記内筒の外周を囲むように隙間をあけて配置される外筒と、を備え、
前記内筒は、前記外筒の排気ガスの流れ方向の両端部のうち前記排気ガスの流れ方向の上流端部に弾性力を有する断熱部材を介して固定され、かつ、前記外筒の前記両端部のうち前記排気ガスの流れ方向の下流端部に溶着することで固定され、
前記内筒及び前記外筒の前記排気ガスの流れ方向下流側において固定された一端部に設けられた開口端を通じて、前記触媒担体を通過した排気ガスを前記内筒及び前記外筒の前記隙間に流入させるようにしたことを特徴とする排気浄化装置。 - 請求項1記載の排気浄化装置であって、
前記触媒担体は、少なくとも前記内筒及び前記外筒の前記隙間によって覆われて、
前記隙間の前記排気ガスの流れ方向の上流側が閉じられて、前記排気ガスの流れ方向の下流側が開放されていることを特徴とする排気浄化装置。 - 請求項1記載の排気浄化装置であって、
前記開口端は、車両の床面の下側に向かって開口していることを特徴とする排気浄化装置。 - 請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の排気浄化装置であって、
前記排気ガスの流れ方向の上流側に向けて径が大きくなる円錐筒状部が、前記開口端が設けられた側の前記外筒の一端部に設けられることを特徴とする排気浄化装置。 - 請求項1記載の排気浄化装置であって、
前記内筒の前記排気ガスの流れ方向の下流端部側を前記外筒に複数の中間部材を介して部分的に溶着したことを特徴とする排気浄化装置。 - 請求項1記載の排気浄化装置であって、
前記外筒の前記排気ガスの流れ方向の開口端は、前記内筒の前記排気ガスの流れ方向の下流端部との間に所定隙間を有して、前記所定隙間の断面積の合計は、前記外筒と前記内筒との間の断面積の80%〜90%以内であることを特徴とする排気浄化装置。 - 請求項1記載の排気浄化装置であって、
前記内筒の前記排気ガスの流れ方向の上流端部側と前記外筒との間の全周に断熱部材を介在させて該内筒の上流端部側をスライド自在にシールしたことを特徴とする排気浄化装置。 - 請求項1記載の排気浄化装置であって、
前記内筒の前記排気ガスの流れ方向の下流端部側を前記外筒に複数の断熱部材を介して部分的に固着したことを特徴とする排気浄化装置。 - 請求項7記載の排気浄化装置であって、
前記断熱部材の継ぎ目部の長さを該断熱部材の横幅よりも長くなるように形成したことを特徴とする排気浄化装置。 - 請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の排気浄化装置であって、
前記内筒を収容した前記外筒を車両の床面に対して垂直の縦置きに配置したことを特徴とする排気浄化装置。 - 請求項1〜10のいずれか1項に記載の排気浄化装置であって、
前記外筒の前記内筒に対向する外側を断熱遮熱部材で覆ったことを特徴とする排気浄化装置。
