Claims (3)
- 車両に搭載されて該車両の進行方向前方の走行環境を監視する前方監視手段と、
前記前方監視手段で検出した自車両前方の走行環境に基づいて前方障害物を検出すると共に前記前方障害物と前記車両との間の障害物間距離及び該障害物と該車両との相対車速に基づいて衝突予測時間を求める衝突予測時間演算手段と、
前記衝突予測時間演算手段で求めた前記衝突予測時間が予め設定したブレーキアシスト判定時間を下回った場合、自動ブレーキを作動させると共に停止目標位置手前でブレーキ圧を減圧し、停止直前でブレーキ圧を加圧する自動ブレーキ制御手段と
を備える車両用運転支援装置において、
前記自動ブレーキ制御手段は、自動ブレーキ作動時の減速度に基づき、前記前方障害物との間におけるブレーキ圧の減圧開始距離を求め、前記障害物間距離が該減圧開始距離に到達したときブレーキ圧を減圧し、次いで予め設定した停止直前の停止ブレーキ開始距離に到達したとき前記ブレーキ圧を加圧する
ことを特徴とする車両用運転支援装置。 - 前記自動ブレーキ制御手段は、自動ブレーキを作動させたときはスロットル弁を全閉にすることを特徴とする請求項1記載の車両用運転支援装置。
- 前記自動ブレーキ制御手段は、ブレーキ圧を減圧するに際しては所定比率で段階的に減圧させることを特徴とする請求項1或いは2記載の車両用運転支援装置。
