Claims (1)
- 排気ガスを通過させて浄化する排気浄化触媒を排気管途中のケーシング内に収容し、該ケーシング内における排気浄化触媒の入側に画成された入口室に対し前記排気浄化触媒の軸心方向と直交する向きから多数の散気孔を有する入口パイプを挿入し、該入口パイプを通して上流側の排気管から導いた排気ガスを前記各散気孔を介し前記入口室内に拡散させるようにした排気浄化装置において、前記入口パイプの排気浄化触媒と対向する側にのみ限定的に散気孔を開口せしめ且つ前記入口パイプの先端側における散気孔の孔数を中途部の孔数よりも減少せしめると共に、前記入口パイプの先端側における散気孔が形成されている領域を排気ガスの流れ方向に向け徐々に先細り状に縮小するように形成し、前記入口パイプの先端側における散気孔の孔数を減少させるにあたり、排気浄化触媒の軸心方向に対する排気ガスの吹き出し方向のずれがより少ない散気孔を優先して残すようにしたことを特徴とする排気浄化装置。
