Description
化合物2の合成
窒素気流下、500ml三口フラスコにN-(3-ビフェニリル)フェニルアミン25.0g(0.102mol)を加え、これにTHF200mlを加えて攪拌した。氷浴にて0℃まで冷却し、n-ブチルリチウム/n-ヘキサン溶液77ml(0.122mol)を15分間かけ滴下した。その後室温にて30分間攪拌し、リチウム試薬を調製した。次に、窒素気流下、1000ml三口フラスコに塩化シアヌル8.9g(0.048mol)、THF200mlを加え攪拌した。これに、先に調製したリチム試薬を20分間かけ滴下した。滴下後、55℃にて1.5時間攪拌した。室温まで冷却した後、水300ml、トルエン100mlを加え、攪拌した後、有機層と水層に分画した。有機層を100mlの水で三回洗浄し、その後、得られた有機層を硫酸マグネシウムで脱水し、硫酸マグネシウムを濾別した後、溶媒を減圧留去した。その後、カラムクロマトグラフィーで精製し、白色固体21.5g(0.036mol、収率74.4%)を得た。
FD-MS, m/z 643 [M]+、融点198℃
化合物3の合成
窒素気流下、1000ml三口フラスコに塩化シアヌル20.9g(0.113mol)、THF200mlを加えて攪拌した。これに、臭化フェニルマグネシウム/THF溶液100ml(0.108mol)を20分間かけ滴下し、室温で2.5時間攪拌させた。水200ml、トルエン100mlを加え、攪拌し、有機層と水層に分画した。有機層を100mlの水で三回洗浄した後、得られた有機層を硫酸マグネシウムで脱水し、硫酸マグネシウムを濾別した後、溶媒を減圧留去した。その後、メタノールでリスラリーを行い、淡黄色固体13.9g(0.061mol、収率54.4%)を得た。
FD-MS, m/z 795 [M]+、融点252℃
化合物5の合成
窒素気流下、500ml三口フラスコにカルバゾール20.0g(0.120mol)、THF120mlを加えて攪拌した。氷浴により0℃まで冷却した後、n-ブチルリチウム/n-ヘキサン溶液80ml(0.127mol)を15分間かけ滴下した。その後室で20分間攪拌し、リチウム試薬を調製した。次に、窒素気流下、500ml三口フラスコに塩化シアヌル11.0g(0.060mol)、THF120mlを加えて攪拌した。これに、先に調製したリチウム試薬を15分間かけて滴下した。滴下後、55℃まで過熱して1時間攪拌した。室温まで冷却した後、水100mlを加えて、生じた固体を濾取した後、濾取した固体を水100mlとTHF100mlの混合溶媒でリンス洗浄し、さらにメタノール50mlでリンス洗浄した。これを、減圧乾燥して黄色粉末20.2g(0.045mol、収率75.5%)を得た。
FD-MS, m/z 487 [M]+、融点274℃
化合物33の合成
窒素気流下、500ml三口フラスコに水素化ナトリウム2.69g(0.066mol)、DMF50mlを加えて攪拌した。これに、N-(4-カルバゾリルフェニル)フェニルアミン20.0g(0.060mol)のDMF(100ml)溶液を滴下した後、室温で30分間撹拌した。次に、4,6-ジクロロ-2-メチルチオピリミジン4.86g(0.025mol)のD MF(50ml)溶液を滴下した。滴下後、50℃にて2.5時間攪拌した。室温まで冷却後、水200mlを加え攪拌を行い、析出した固体を濾取し、赤色固体18.8gを得た。得られた赤色固体にトルエン200gを加えて、加熱リスラリー精製により、白色固体13.2g(0.017mol、収率66.8%)を得た。
APCI-MS, m/z 821 [M+H]+、融点293℃
化合物34の合成
窒素気流下、500ml三口フラスコにカルバゾール20 .0g(0.120mol)、THF120mlを加えて攪拌した。氷浴にて、0℃まで冷却した後、n-ブチルリチウム/n-ヘキサン溶液80ml(0.127mol)を30分間かけ滴下した。その後室温に戻し、20分間攪拌し、リチウム試薬を調製した。次に、窒素気流下、1000ml三口フラスコに塩化シアヌル11.0g(0.0599mol)、THF120mlを加えて攪拌した。そこに、先に調製したリチウム試薬を30分間かけ滴下した。滴下後、60℃にて1.5時間攪拌させた。室温まで冷却した後、水200mlを加え、析出した白色固体を濾取した。得られた固体をメタノール加熱リスラリー精製し、白色固体16.0g(0.0359mol、収率59.9%)を得た。
次に2000ml三口フラスコに前記の白色固体10.0g(0.0224mol)、m−ターフェニル−2’−ボロン酸7.38g(0.0269mol)、テトラキス(トリフェニルホスフィン)パラジウム(0)1.7g(0.0011mol)、エタノール100ml、トルエン400mlを加えて攪拌した。これに、炭酸ナトリウム8.55gの水(40ml)溶液を加え、90℃にて一晩攪拌した。一旦、室温まで冷却した後、水200ml、トルエン500mlを加え攪拌し、有機層と水層に分画した。有機層を200mlの水で三回洗浄し、その後、得られた有機層を硫酸マグネシウムで脱水を行い、硫酸マグネシウムを濾別した後、溶媒を減圧留去した。その後、THF、トルエンにて加熱リスラリー精製を行い白色粉末状の化合物34を3.10g( 0.00485mol、収率21.7%)得た。
FD-MS, m/z 640 [M+H]+、融点307℃
化合物35の合成
窒素気流下、1000ml三口フラスコに塩化シアヌル20.9g(0.113mol)、THF200mlを加えて攪拌した。そこに、臭化フェニルマグネシウム/THF溶液100ml(0.108mol)を20分間かけ滴下し、その後室温で2.5時間攪拌した。水200ml、トルエン100mlを加え、攪拌した後、有機層と水層に分画した。有機層を100mlの水で三回洗浄した後、得られた有機層を硫酸マグネシウムで脱水し、硫酸マグネシウムを濾別した後、溶媒を減圧留去した。その後、メタノールでリスラリー精製し、淡黄色固体13.9g(0.061mol、収率54.4%)を得た。
APCI-MS, m/z 822 [M+H]+、融点258℃
図1において、電子注入層を追加した構成の有機EL素子を作成した。膜厚 150 nm の 酸化インジウムスズ(ITO) からなる陽極が形成されたガラス基板上に、各薄膜を真空蒸着法にて、真空度 4.0×10-4 Pa で積層させた。まず、ITO 上に正孔注入層として、銅フタロシアニン(CuPC) を 25 nm の厚さに形成した。次に、正孔輸送層として NPB を 40 nm の厚さに形成した。次に、正孔輸送層上に、発光層として化合物2と Ir(ppy)3 とを異なる蒸着源から、共蒸着し、40 nm の厚さに形成した。発光層の主成分は化合物2であり、ドーパントであるIr(ppy)3 の濃度は 7.0 %であった。次に、電子輸送層として Alq3 を 20 nm の厚さに形成した。更に、電子輸送層上に、電子注入層としてフッ化リチウム(LiF)を 0.5nmの厚さに形成した。最後に、電子注入層上に、電極としてアルミニウム(Al)を170 nm の厚さに形成し、有機EL素子を作成した。
発光層の主成分として、化合物3又は化合物5を用いた以外は実施例7と同様にして有機EL素子を作成した。表6に発光層の主成分の化合物と発光特性を示す。
発光層の主成分として、下記化合物(H−1)を用いた以外は、実施例4と同様にして有機EL素子を作成した。表6に発光特性を示す。
膜厚 110 nm の 酸化インジウムスズ(ITO)からなる陽極が形成されたガラス基板上に、各薄膜を真空蒸着法にて、真空度 4.0×10-4 Pa で積層させた。まず、ITO 上に正孔注入層として、銅フタロシアニン(CuPC)を 30 nm の厚さに形成した。次に、正孔輸送層として NPB を 80 nm の厚さに形成した。次に、正孔輸送層上に、発光層として化合物2と青色燐光材料であるイリジウム錯体[イリジウム(III)ビス(4,6-ジ-フルオロフェニル)-ピリジネート-N,C2’]ピコリネート](FIrpic)とを異なる蒸着源から、共蒸着し、35 nm の厚さに形成した。発光層の主成分は化合物2であり、ドーパントであるFIrpicの濃度は 8.0 %であった。次に、電子輸送層として Alq3 を 25 nm の厚さに形成した。更に、電子輸送層上に、電子注入層としてフッ化リチウム(LiF)を 0.5nmの厚さに形成した。最後に、電子注入層上に、電極としてアルミニウム(Al)を170 nm の厚さに形成し、図1に示す素子構成例の陰極と電子輸送層の間に、電子注入層を追加した構成の有機EL素子を作成した。
発光層の主成分として、化合物3、化合物5、化合物33、化合物34、又は化合物35を用いた以外は実施例10と同様にして有機EL素子を作成した。表7に発光層の主成分の化合物と発光特性を示す。
発光層のホスト材料として、H−1を用いた以外は実施例10と同様にして有機EL素子を作成した。表7に発光特性を示す。
Claims (5)
- 一般式(1)において、環Bを構成するXが六員芳香族基置換のメチン若しくは未置換のメチンである請求項1に記載の有機電界発光素子用化合物。
- 請求項1又は2に記載の有機電界発光素子用化合物を含む有機層を有することを特徴とする有機電界発光素子。
- 前記有機層が、発光層、正孔輸送層、電子輸送層及び正孔阻止素子層からなる群れから選ばれる少なくとも一つの層である請求項3に記載の有機電界発光素子。
- 前記有機層が、燐光発光ドーパントを含有する発光層である請求項3に記載の有機電界発光素子。
