Abstract
Description
本実施形態の正極は、高容量でかつ高入出力であるリチウムイオン二次電池(以下単に「電池」ともいう。)に適用可能なものである。正極は、集電体と、その両面に付設された正極合材と、で構成されている。正極合材は、正極活物質を含むものである。
上記化学式(1)において、(1+a)はLi(リチウム)の組成比、xはMn(マンガン)の組成比、yはNi(ニッケル)の組成比、(1−x−y−z)はCo(コバルト)の組成比を示す。zは元素Mの組成比を示す。O(酸素)の組成比は2である。−0.15<a<0.15、0.1<x≦0.5、0.6<x+y+z≦1.0、0≦z≦0.1である。元素Mは、これを含む場合、Ti(チタン)、Zr(ジルコニウム)、Nb(ニオブ)、Mo(モリブテン)、W(タングステン)、Al(アルミニウム)、Si(シリコン)、Ga(ガリウム)、Ge(ゲルマニウム)およびSn(スズ)からなる群から選択される1種以上の元素を選択することができる。
負極は、集電体と、その両面に付設された負極合材と、で構成されている。負極合材の作製方法は、特に限定されないが、正極合材と同様の手法が適用できる。上記の負極合材は、電気化学的にリチウムイオンを吸蔵・放出可能な負極活物質を含有する。
電解液は、リチウム塩(電解質)と、これを溶解する非水系溶媒と、添加剤と、で構成されている。
セパレータは、正極と負極との間を電子的には絶縁しつつもイオン透過性を有し、かつ、正極側における酸化性および負極における還元性に対する耐久性を備えるものであれば特に制限はない。このような特性を満たすセパレータの材質としては、樹脂、無機物、ガラス繊維等が用いられる。
電解液に含まれる添加剤(リチウムジフルオロ(オキサラト)ボレート、ビニレンカーボネート等)は、充放電反応により、負極の表面に被膜(SEI)を形成する。
式中、Xは、Liを含む官能基である。なお、Xの化学構造は、十分には解明されていないが、例えば、Li、C2O3Li等が考えられる。
電解液にリチウムジフルオロ(オキサラト)ボレートを添加しなかったこと以外は、実施例1に準じて電池の評価を実施した。
電解液に添加するリチウムジフルオロ(オキサラト)ボレートの量を2.0質量%としたこと以外は、実施例1に準じて電池の評価を実施した。
図2は、実施例1及び比較例1の充放電サイクル数に対する直流抵抗の変化を示したものである。

前記電解液は、ビニレンカーボネートを更に含む、リチウムイオン二次電池。 - 請求項4記載のリチウムイオン二次電池であって、
前記電解液におけるビニレンカーボネートの含有量は、0.3〜2.0質量%である、リチウムイオン二次電池。 - 請求項1乃至5のいずれか一項に記載のリチウムイオン二次電池であって、
前記非晶質炭素は、X線回折法により得られるC軸方向の面間隔d002値が0.34nm以上0.36nm未満である、リチウムイオン二次電池。 - 正極活物質を含む正極と、負極活物質を含む負極と、電解液と、を有するリチウムイオン二次電池であって、
前記負極活物質は、非晶質炭素を含み、
前記負極の表面には、下記化学式で表記される物質を含む被膜が形成されている、リチウムイオン二次電池。
