Abstract
【解決手段】複数の画素を含む画素アレイ内に形成された複数のタッチセンサを含むタッチセンサアレイを含み、画素アレイが複数のブロックに分割されて駆動する表示パネルと、複数のゲートラインをブロック単位で順次駆動するゲートドライバと、複数のデータラインをゲートラインが駆動されるごとに駆動するデータドライバと、タッチセンサアレイをブロック単位で順次駆動するタッチコントローラと、一つのフレームを、画素アレイが駆動される表示モードとタッチセンサアレイが駆動されるタッチセンシングモードに分割し、両モードが交互に実行されるようにゲートドライバ、データドライバ及びタッチコントローラを制御するタイミングコントローラとを備える。

Claims (10)
- 複数の画素を含む画素アレイと、前記画素アレイ内に形成された複数のタッチセンサを含むタッチセンサアレイとを含み、前記タッチセンサアレイ及び画素アレイが複数のブロックに分割されて駆動される表示パネルと、
前記画素アレイに含まれた複数のゲートラインを前記ブロック単位で順次駆動するゲートドライバと、
前記画素アレイに含まれた複数のデータラインを前記ゲートラインが駆動されるごとに駆動するデータドライバと、
前記タッチセンサアレイを前記ブロック単位で順次駆動するタッチコントローラと、
一つのフレームを、前記画素アレイが駆動される少なくとも1個の表示モードと前記タッチセンサアレイが駆動される少なくとも1個のタッチセンシングモードに分割し、前記表示モードとタッチセンシングモードが交互に実行されるように前記ゲートドライバ、前記データドライバ及び前記タッチコントローラを制御するタイミングコントローラと
を備えるタッチセンサを有する表示装置。 - 前記タイミングコントローラは、前記一つのフレームを複数の表示モードと複数のタッチセンシングモードに時分割し、前記表示モードと前記タッチセンシングモードが交互に実行されるように制御するモード切替信号を生成して出力する
ことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のタッチセンサを有する表示装置。 - 前記ゲートドライバ及び前記データドライバは、前記モード切替信号に応答して前記各表示モードで該当ブロックの画素アレイを駆動し、
前記タッチコントローラは、前記モード切替信号に応答して前記各タッチセンシングモードで該当ブロックのタッチセンサアレイを駆動する
ことを特徴とする、請求項2に記載のタッチセンサを有する表示装置。 - 前記タイミングコントローラは、前記ブロック単位でデータを格納して出力するメモリをさらに備えており、前記メモリにデータが格納される周波数よりも速い周波数で前記メモリに格納されたデータを前記データドライバに供給し、
入力される複数の同期信号を入力周波数よりも速い周波数に変換し、前記ゲートドライバ、前記データドライバ及び前記タッチコントローラの駆動タイミングを制御する複数の制御信号を生成する
ことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のタッチセンサを有する表示装置。 - 前記各表示モードでは1個のブロック内の画素アレイが駆動され、前記各タッチセンシングモードでは複数のブロック内のタッチセンサアレイが順次駆動される
ことを特徴とする、請求項2に記載のタッチセンサを有する表示装置。 - 前記表示パネルは液晶表示パネル又は有機発光ダイオード表示パネルである
ことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のタッチセンサを有する表示装置。 - 前記タッチセンサはフォトタッチセンサ又は静電容量方式タッチセンサである
ことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のタッチセンサを有する表示装置。 - 複数の画素を含む画素アレイと、前記画素アレイ内に形成された複数のタッチセンサを含むタッチセンサアレイと、を含む表示装置を駆動する方法において、
前記タッチセンサアレイ及び画素アレイを複数のブロックに分割すること、及び
一つのフレームを、少なくとも1個のブロック内の画素アレイが駆動される少なくとも1個の表示モードと前記少なくとも1個のブロック内のタッチセンサアレイが駆動される少なくとも1個のタッチセンシングモードに時分割して駆動すること
を含むタッチセンサを有する表示装置の駆動方法。 - 前記フレームは複数の表示モードと複数のタッチセンシングモードに時分割され、モード切替信号に応答して前記表示モードと前記タッチセンシングモードが交互に実行されることを特徴とする、請求項8に記載のタッチセンサを有する表示装置の駆動方法。
- 前記各表示モードでは1個のブロック内の画素アレイが駆動され、前記各タッチセンシングモードでは複数のブロック内のタッチセンサアレイが順次駆動される
ことを特徴とする、請求項9に記載のタッチセンサを有する表示装置の駆動方法。
