Abstract
【解決手段】 第一と第二節点を有する蓄積コンデンサ、蓄積コンデンサの第一節点に接続され、データ信号、または可変基準信号を前記蓄積コンデンサの前記第一節点に転送する転送回路、第一固定電位に接続された第一端子、前記蓄積コンデンサの前記第二節点に接続された第二端子と、駆動電流を出力する第三端子を有する駆動素子、前記駆動素子の前記第三端子と前記蓄積コンデンサの前記第二節点に接続され、前記駆動素子を一期間内にダイオード接続させ、前記駆動電流がもう一つの期間内で表示装置に出力されるようにすることができるスイッチング回路を含む画素駆動回路。

Claims (28)
- 第一と第二節点を有する蓄積コンデンサ、
蓄積コンデンサの第一節点に接続され、データ信号、または可変基準信号を前記蓄積コンデンサの前記第一節点に転送する転送回路、
第一固定電位に接続された第一端子、前記蓄積コンデンサの前記第二節点に接続された第二端子と、駆動電流を出力する第三端子を有する駆動素子、
前記駆動素子の前記第三端子と前記蓄積コンデンサの前記第二節点に接続され、前記駆動素子を一期間内にダイオード接続させ、前記駆動電流がもう一つの期間内で表示装置に出力されるようにすることができるスイッチング回路を含む画素駆動回路。 - 前記駆動素子は、PMOSトランジスタである請求項1に記載の画素駆動回路。
- 前記可変基準信号は、パルス基準信号である請求項1に記載の画素駆動回路。
- 前記転送回路は、
前記データ信号を受ける第一端子、第一スキャンラインに接続された第二端子、前記蓄積コンデンサの前記第一節点に接続された第三端子を有する第一トランジスタ、および
前記可変基準信号を受ける第一端子、第二スキャンラインに接続された第二端子、前記蓄積コンデンサの前記第一節点に接続された第三端子を有する第二トランジスタを含む請求項1に記載の画素駆動回路。 - 前記第一と第二トランジスタは、それぞれPMOSとNMOSトランジスタである請求項4に記載の画素駆動回路。
- 前記第一と第二トランジスタは、PMOSトランジスタである請求項4に記載の画素駆動回路。
- 前記第一と第二スキャンラインは、それぞれ同じ極性のパルスを有する請求項5に記載の画素駆動回路。
- 前記第一と第二スキャンラインは、それぞれ異なる極性のパルスを有する請求項6に記載の画素駆動回路。
- 前記第二スキャンラインは、前記第一スキャンラインより遅いパルスの終了タイミングを有する請求項7または8に記載の画素駆動回路。
- 前記第一と第二スキャンラインは、互いに接続される請求項5に記載の画素駆動回路。

前記表示装置に接続された第一端子、第二スキャンラインに接続された第二端子、前記駆動素子の第三端子に接続された第三端子を有する第三トランジスタ、および
前記駆動素子の前記第三端子と前記第三トランジスタに接続された第一端子、前記蓄積コンデンサの前記第二節点と前記駆動素子の前記第二端子に接続された第二端子と、第一スキャンラインに接続された第三端子を有する第四トランジスタを含む請求項1に記載の画素駆動回路。 - 前記第三と第四トランジスタは、それぞれNMOSとPMOSトランジスタである請求項11に記載の画素駆動回路。
- 前記第三と第四トランジスタは、PMOSトランジスタである請求項11に記載の画素駆動回路。
- 前記第一固定電位は、電力供給電位である請求項1に記載の画素駆動回路。
- 前記表示装置は、エレクトロルミネッセント装置である請求項1に記載の画素駆動回路。
- 前記転送回路に接続された基準信号発生器を更に含む請求項1に記載の画素駆動回路。
- 前記基準信号発生器は、
垂直シフトレジスタからの信号を受ける二つの入力を備え、出力信号を発生する第一ANDゲート、
前記第一ANDゲートからの出力信号を受ける第一入力と、第一許可信号を受ける第二入力を備え、第一スキャン信号を第二スキャンラインに発生する第一NANDゲート、
前記第一ANDゲート、前記第一許可信号と、第二許可信号からの出力信号をそれぞれ受ける三つの入力を備え、第二スキャン信号を前記第一スキャンラインに発生する第二NANDゲート、および
前記第一ANDゲートからの出力信号を受ける第一入力と、第二許可信号を受ける第二入力を備え、基準信号を発生する第二ANDゲートを含む請求項16に記載の画素駆動回路。 - 前記基準信号発生器は、
垂直シフトレジスタからの信号を受ける二つの入力と、第一許可信号を受ける第三入力を備え、第一スキャン信号を第二スキャンラインに発生する第一NANDゲート、
垂直シフトレジスタからの信号を受ける二つの入力と、前記第一許可信号と第二許可信号をそれぞれ受ける二つの入力を備え、第二スキャン信号を前記第一スキャンラインに発生する第二NANDゲート、および
垂直シフトレジスタからの信号を受ける二つの入力と、第二許可信号を受ける第三入力を備え、基準信号を発生するANDゲートを含む請求項16に記載の画素駆動回路。 - 駆動素子と蓄積コンデンサを備える表示装置を駆動する方法であって、
それに基準信号を加えることによって、切替可能回路を通して前記蓄積コンデンサを放電するステップ、
前記駆動素子のデータ信号とスレッショルド電圧を前記蓄積コンデンサに取り込むステップ、および
スレッショルドに依存しない駆動電流を表示装置に供給するために、前記取り込まれたデータ信号と前記取り込まれたスレッショルド電圧を前記駆動素子に接合するステップを含む方法。 - 前記取り込みのステップでは、前記データ信号と前記第一トランジスタの前記スレッショルド電圧に加えて固定供給電位も前記蓄積コンデンサに取り込まれ、且つ、
前記接続のステップでは、前記取り込まれたデータ信号と前記取り込まれたスレッショルド電圧に加えて前記取り込まれた固定供給電位も前記駆動素子に接続される請求項19に記載の方法。 - 前記蓄積コンデンサを放電するステップは、前記取り込むステップの前に、高レベルの前記基準信号が前記蓄積コンデンサに加えられる時のタイミングで始まる請求項20に記載の方法。
- 前記取り込みのステップは、アクティブスキャンラインがスイッチ装置に加えられ、前記データ信号が前記蓄積コンデンサに加えられるタイミングでスキャンモードから始まる請求項20に記載の方法。
- 前記取り込まれたデータ信号、前記取り込まれたスレッショルド電圧と、前記取り込まれた固定電位を前記駆動素子に接続するステップは、低レベルの前記基準信号が前記蓄積コンデンサに加えられた後のタイミングで前記スキャンモードから始まる請求項19に記載の方法。
- 前記基準信号は、それがスイッチ装置を通して前記蓄積コンデンサに加えられる前にその状態を変える請求項22または23に記載の方法。
- 前記固定電位は、電力供給電位である請求項19に記載の方法。
- 前記表示装置は、エレクトロルミネッセント装置である請求項19に記載の方法。
- 請求項1に記載の複数の画素駆動回路を含む画素アレイ、
