Claims (1)
- 【特許請求の範囲】 1.70重量パーセントを超える1,1,2,2−テトラフルオロエタン(HF C−134)を含み、しかもフッ素以外のハロゲン置換基を有する成分を持って いない実質的に不燃性のハイドロフルオロカーボン発泡剤組成物を用いて、約0 .1から約1.5mmの平均気泡サイズを有する独立気泡の実質的に空隙のない 、1立方フィート当たり約0.75から15ポンド(1立方メートル当たり12 から240キログラム)の密度を有するスチレン系またはエチレン系樹脂のフォ ームを製造する方法であって、 (a)通常固体の前記熱可塑性樹脂と効果的な発泡量の発泡剤の実質的に均一な 溶融混合物を発泡しない高い温度および圧力で生成させるステップと、 (b)前記混合物を、発泡する高い温度および圧力で、しかも独立気泡のフォー ム本体を得るのに効果的な制御された速度で、ダイを通してゾーンに押出すステ ップと、 (c)前記の気泡サイズおよび密度を有する実質的に堅い独立気泡のフォーム本 体を得られるほどの温度および圧力で、前記フォーム本体を冷却させて、粘度を 増加させるプロセスとを含み、ジクロロジフルオロメタン(CFC−12)、ま たは1−クロロ−1,1−ジフルオロエタン(HCFC−142b)とクロロジ フルオロメタン(HCFC−22)の混合物などの従来の熱可塑性フォームの発 泡剤が使用される従来の熱可塑性フォーム調製用装置で実施することを特徴とす る方法。 2.前記フォームは、樹脂−発泡剤組成物の総重量に基づいて約2〜約10重量 %の発泡剤によって製造され、しかも前記フォームの密度が少なくとも1.5p cf(24kg/m3)であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 3.前記フォームの密度が少なくとも6pcf(96kg/m3)であることを 特徴とする請求項2に記載の方法。 4.発泡剤組成物はさらに、HFC−134a、HFC−152a、HFC−1 43a、HFC−32およびHFC−125から成る群から選ばれた少なくとも 1つを、総計して約30重量パーセント未満になる量を含むことを特徴とする請 求項1に記載の方法。 5.発泡剤組成物は少なくとも78重量パーセントのHFC−134を含むこと を特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。 6.発泡剤は少なくとも87重量パーセントのHFC−134を含むことを特徴 とする請求項1に記載の方法。 7.発泡剤は本質的にHFC−134から成ることを特徴とする請求項1に記載 の方法。 8.等しい温度でそして前記ダイを通しての押出しに先だって比較すると、前記 溶融混合物の蒸気圧とHFC−134の代わりにHFC−134aを含む同じ溶 融混合物の蒸気圧の比がHFC−134とHFC−134aの普通の蒸気圧の比 よりも小さいことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
