Abstract

620,939. Lampshades. JOLESCH, A Feb. 3, 1947, No. 3183. [Class 75(ii)] In a lampshade fitting of the kind described in Specification 586,946, in which the shade is supported on a ball fitting so that it can be turned to various angles and be held in its adjusted position by friction, the ball 5 on the shade supporting frame 1 is retained in movable frictional engagement in a hollow cylindrical casing 6 provided on the shade supporting fitment 7 by the open end of the casing 6 being spun or otherwise deformed around part of the ball. A rubber washer or spring 8 is provided in the casing 6 for producing the necessary frictional resistance.
