Abstract

1395058 Reciprocating conveyers SAHLIN AUTOMATION Ltd 29 Jan 1974 [7 Nov 1972] 51296/72 Heading B8A A work carrying carriage 1 is reciprocated along a straight path by means of a rotatable crank member 9 pivotally connected to a crank rod 10 in turn pivoted to the carriage 1, a driving connection between a fixed circular member 13, coaxial with the pivotal axis of the crank member 9, and a circular member 15 which rotates with the crank rod 10 being such that rotation of the crank member 9 in one direction through a certain angle causes the crank rod 10 to rotate through twice the angle in the opposite direction. The circular members 13, 15 may be gear wheels interconnected by a rotatable gear 14, or may be pulleys or sprockets interconnected by an endless band or chain. The crank member 9 may be oscillated by a rack and pinion arrangement or may be rotated by a motor. The carriage 1 has wheels 2 guided by rails 3 and carries suction means or article grippers.
