Abstract

1372346 Measuring pressure electrically SIEMENS AG 24 Aug 1973 [28 Aug 1972] 40312/73 Addition to 1238235 Heading G1N A pressure measuring assembly comprises a housing see Specification 1238235 Division G1, containing a spring bellows which is secured at one end to the housing and closed at its other end and which is arranged to be able to receive a pressure differential between its interior and its exterior; a plate 1 constituted by an outer part 2 secured to the housing, a first inner part 4 which is joined to the first inner part only by a first bridging part 5, a second inner part 8 which is joined to the first inner part only by a second bridging part 7 and which is made fast with the closed end of the bellows (by means of a screw accommodated in a hole 9), the first bridging part being opposite the second bridging part so that the second inner part remains substantially parallel to the outer part during movement of the closed end of the bellows, and a transducer (e.g. resistance strain gauge) connected with the first and/or second bridging parts and able to transduce mechanical strain in the transducer into an electric output signal. The slots defining the parts are generally circular in plan. In an alternative embodiment Fig. 2 (not shown) the slots are generally U-shaped in plan.
