Abstract

122,370. Williams, W.A. Aug. 19, 1918. Armour-plating.-Armour-plating of the kind consisting of alternate plates of metal and rubber or other equivalent elastic material has the rubber on the partition plates spaced to afford room for deformation. A form of armour plate is shown in Fig. 2, consisting of face plates a, b separated by a partition plate c having rubber ribs d. Fig. 5 shows a form having two partition plates c separated by a plain central plate e.
