Abstract
1288929 Welding steel BOFORS A B 25 Nov 1969 [2 Dec 1968] 57693/69 Heading C7A In a method of welding hardenable, corrosion resisting steel (e.g. as described and claimed in Specification 948964), the filler metal is provided by a material comprising:- C 0À01-0À1% Cr 11-14% Mn 0À25-2% Ni 3-8% Mo 0-3À5% and one or more of Nb, Ta, Ti and V in such an amount that the atomic ratio of these carbide formers to carbon in the weld metal formed is not greater than 1, the balance, apart from impurities and incidental elements (e.g. S, P and Si) being Fe. The welding may be effected by the M1G or T1G processes.
