Definitions
- the invention relates to a container, in particular for storing, transporting and/or disposing of food, waste or other substances, with a movable and lockable holding device being provided on the container in order to improve the handling and ergonomics of the container.
- waste containers that are intended to be suitable for collection or emptying by waste disposal companies are subject to the boundary conditions resulting from their use, which determine key points such as tightness, shape and size.
- a 200L waste container filled with used grease weighs approx. 200kg, which usually has to be moved by a single person. If one has to be removed from a kitchen or storage room, this requires a corresponding amount of effort.
- containers and, in particular, waste containers should be stored and stored in as space-saving a way as possible and, for example, in a kitchen, for example, should not take up more space than necessary.
- the containers known in the prior art are often designed in terms of their height in such a way that the containers can be pushed and placed under a kitchen worktop or generally under a worktop. Since a handle area or handle bar in the known containers is firmly fixed to the top of the container and is pushed under the worktops, the handle areas of the known containers are usually at a height between approx. 70 and 85 cm. However, for a normal-sized person who is supposed to move such containers, this comparatively low height, together with the sometimes high weight of the filled container, results in a non-ergonomic and correspondingly disadvantageous working situation.
- a container is known in which the handlebar is movable.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of overcoming the aforementioned disadvantages and of providing a container which, even when filled, is ergonomic and easy to handle and at the same time can be stored in a space-saving manner.
- a container with the features according to claim 1 is proposed, which is preferably a waste container for collecting, temporarily storing and transporting a wide variety of waste materials.
- the container has a body and a lid arranged on the body.
- the body forms an internal receiving space and extends from a bottom side defining a lower level to an opposite opening side having an opening and defining an upper level.
- the bottom side faces a subsurface or floor.
- wheels rotatable about a wheel axis are also arranged, with preferably exactly two opposite wheels being provided, which are spaced apart from one another along the wheel axis.
- the receiving space is also open through the opening towards the opening side, the receiving space preferably being open exclusively through the opening and towards the opening side.
- the lid is also designed to close the opening and the receiving space.
- the container has a holding device which is rotatably connected to the body and has a handle area, which can be moved from a first position, in which the handle area is arranged between the lower level and the upper level, to a second position, preferably by rotating the Holding device is movable about an axis of rotation determined on or by the body and can be locked in the second position.
- the handle area is arranged behind the upper level as viewed from the lower level, so that a distance determined by a distance between the lower level and the handle area Lever length in the second position of the holding device is greater than in the first position of the holding device.
- the container has a second or further handle area, which, however, is unchangeable and fixed with respect to its position on the body, the lever length of the handle area of the holding device being greater than a lever length determined by the second handle area, at least in the second position of the holding device Lever, which is determined by the distance between the lower level and the second handle area.
- the basic idea of the invention is to improve the handling of a container and in particular a waste container by a holding device which, in a certain position, here the second position, provides easier handling of the container through a long lever arm and a more ergonomic working posture for the person moving the container allows the container to be gripped at the handle area of the holding device by the person at an ergonomic working height and the container can be moved. It is essential that the holding device can be moved from a first position, in which it does not increase the structure of the container, so that the container can be stored easily and, for example, below a worktop, into a second position and locked in the second position which the holding device makes the container easier to use by increasing the lever length compared to the bottom side or the lower level.
- the lid can be opened and closed as usual, so that it can be moved accordingly for use or when emptying the container.
- the holding device can be brought into its second position and locked in this position, so that the lever arm or the lever length of the lever from the handle area to the lower level and preferably the lever length of the lever from that Grip area to the wheel axle, to which the wheels are rotatably attached to the body in or below the lower level, is increased. Due to the longer lever length, the force applied to the handle area for moving the container can be better used and the container can be moved more easily, whereby the force can also be applied by the person moving the container at an ergonomically advantageous working height.
- the holding device can be brought back into its first position, in which it does not block the lid or movement of the lid and preferably does not build up additionally in a height direction of the container.
- the container is designed to be heat-resistant, so that, on the one hand, hot substances contained in the container do not harm the container and, on the other hand, the container is easy to clean and e.g. B. can be disinfected by autoclaving.
- the container can be made of a food-safe material and in particular of a food-safe plastic.
- the container it is also advantageous if it is made as completely as possible from a single material and, for example, from a single plastic.
- An advantageous variant therefore provides that the body, the lid and the holding device are each made of the same plastic, although if necessary, further components, such as the wheels or the wheel axle, can be made of other materials.
- the container can be washed as often and is exposed to moisture and high temperatures and the container should preferably be made of a single material, solutions with a telescopic system in which metal rods are stored one inside the other and can therefore be pulled out are particularly unsuitable.
- the metal parts would have to be laboriously removed before the remaining container can simply be shredded and, on the other hand, the metal parts can rust quickly, so that such containers would not be durable.
- the body forms at least one projection adjacent to the opening side, on which the lid is rotatably mounted about an axis of rotation, so that the lid can be moved about the axis of rotation from a first position closing the opening and the receiving space into an opening and The second position releasing the receiving space is movable.
- the lid can be rotatably mounted directly or via at least one projection formed by the lid on the at least one projection formed by the body.
- the at least one projection formed by the body can also be referred to as a handle hinge and the at least one projection formed by the lid can each be referred to as a lid hinge, with preferably one lid hinge being attached to each handle hinge so that it can rotate about the axis of rotation.
- the lid can be rotated relative to the body using the hinges.
- the projections of the cover can alternatively be rotatably arranged on the axle body or connected to it.
- the lid in its second position hangs downwards in the direction of the base due to gravity and more preferably essentially perpendicularly from the axis of rotation.
- the grip area extends between two opposite end sections parallel to the axis of rotation, the holding device further having two connecting arms, each of which has one connecting arm extends from an end section to the axis of rotation, on which or about which the connecting arms are rotatably mounted, so that the holding device can be rotated about the axis of rotation from its first position to its second position. Both the cover and the holding device are rotatably mounted around the axis of rotation.
- the holding device should, if possible, not block the lid.
- the connecting arms are designed to allow the lid to hang down from or around the axis of rotation in the second position of the lid due to gravity and preferably essentially vertically when the holding device is in its first position .
- the connecting arms each have two legs, which are arranged at an angle to one another and which merge into one another to form a bend. In the first position of the holding device, the bend points towards the body.
- a first leg of the two legs extends from the handle area or from one of the end sections to the respective bend and a second leg extends from the respective bend to the axis of rotation or to the at least one projection formed by the body.
- the container also has a locking element for locking the holding device in its second position.
- the locking element extends parallel to the axis of rotation between the connecting arms and preferably surrounds the connecting arms in the region of the second leg. It is also provided that by gripping the connecting arms Locking element can also be moved along the connecting arms and guided through them.
- the holding device can also be designed to be fixed to the body in its first position.
- mutually corresponding locking elements are present on the body and on the holding device or on the body and the locking element.
- the body can form at least one rib on a side facing the holding device, which at least partially surrounds the grip area of the holding device with the holding device in its first position, so that the rib forms a locking element and the handle area forms a counter-locking element.
- the holding device can be fixed in its first position by locking the handle area with the rib.
- the rib integrally forms a stacking rib, which holds the containers in a predetermined position when several containers are stacked one inside the other, in which the body of an upper container extends in sections into the receiving space of a lower container. Without such a stacking rib, the containers can sometimes be difficult to separate from one another.
- the holding device itself can serve as a spacer, i.e. integrally as a stacking rib. If two containers are stacked one inside the other and the holding device of the upper container is in its first position, the upper container is protected from being immersed too deeply in the lower container or the containers are held in a predetermined position relative to one another.
- locking elements corresponding to one another are provided on the at least one projection formed by the body or on the at least one handle hinge and on the holding device.
- the handle hinges each form a bead-like locking projection and the holding device or in particular the connecting arms of the holding device extending to the axis of rotation form a locking recess, so that when the holding device moves into its first position, the locking projections lock into the locking recesses and the holding device in the first Fix position.
- the body can form a locking element and the locking element can form a counter-locking element, so that the locking element of the body can lock with the corresponding counter-locking element of the locking element with the holding device in the first position and can thereby be fixed.
- the locking element and the at least one projection formed by the body or the at least one handle hinge can each have a locking lug, which locks together when the holding device moves.
- the body can also have at least one pocket as a locking element and the locking element can have at least one mandrel that extends towards the body in the first position of the holding device as a counter-locking element, which extends into the pocket and thereby fixes the holding device in its first position.
- the locking element can be moved on the holding device or along the connecting arms of the holding device and the at least one mandrel can be released from its engagement with the pocket.
- axle body which is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the at least one projection of the body and which has at least one locking recess preferably extends along the axis of rotation. If the axle body is designed integrally with the body, it can be understood as part of the body. Furthermore, the locking element forms a locking projection for each locking recess of the axle body, which points to the axis of rotation and corresponds to the respective locking recess, which in the second position of the holding device can be inserted into the associated locking recess by moving the locking element along the connecting arms, so that a rotation of the locking element relative to the axle body and a rotation of the holding device about the axis of rotation is blocked by the locking element gripping around the connecting arms or the Holding device is locked in the second position.
- This means that the locking can be released easily and quickly by moving the locking element along the connecting arms, whereby the locking projections are moved out of the locking recesses.
- the axle body also integrally forms the aforementioned second handle section, on which the body or the container can be gripped.
- axle body is hollow and preferably has a large number of internal stiffening ribs.
- axle body can also be made from a solid material.
- the cross section of the axle body is orthogonal to the axis of rotation Ellipse or as a rectangle with rounded corners.
- Recesses are preferably also provided on the locking element, which are designed to receive the at least one projection formed by the body and / or the cover in sections when the holding device is in its first position, whereby such penetration of the lid and/or the body into the recesses of the locking element is prevented so that the locking element blocks the movement or mobility of these components.
- the body forms two projections and the axle body extends between the two projections and connects them to one another
- the cover surrounds the projections formed by the body and the axle body
- the holding device surrounds the cover with its connecting arms.
- the connecting arms and the cover are fixed to the projections formed by the body and/or the axle body so as to be rotatable about the axis of rotation by at least one axial fastening element.
- an opening and a cavity adjoining the respective opening are provided at the opposite end faces of the axle body.
- a fastening element or the axial fastening element can be inserted into the cavity through the respective opening in order to thereby fasten the cover and/or the holding device to the axle body and accordingly to the body.
- the respective fastening element also has at least one locking element and the respective cavity has at least one counter-locking element, so that the fastening element can be locked in the cavity.
- a variant in which two locking positions for the fastening element are realized in each of the cavities by means of several counter-locking elements is also particularly advantageous.
- two counter-locking elements can be provided for this purpose, which are offset from one another in the axial direction of the axle body, so that two locking depths are realized for the fastening element.
- a respective first leg of the connecting arms also extends with a first leg length from the grip area to the bend and a respective second leg of the connecting arms extends with a second leg length from the bend to the axis of rotation.
- the locking element encompasses the connecting arms in the area of the second legs, the displaceability of the locking element along the connecting arms from the axis of rotation away from the bend being limited, so that the locking element is only displaceable along the second legs.
- first leg length is larger than the second leg length and the leg lengths are in a ratio of essentially one to three.
- a center of gravity of the holding device with the locking element arranged thereon and a center of gravity of the lid are also preferably coordinated with one another in such a way that a shape of the lid, a shape of the holding device and a shape of the locking element are designed to correspond to one another in such a way that the first leg of the connecting arms in each case is separated from the in in its second position, directly on the holding device or indirectly via the locking element on the holding device, the cover is pressed onto the body.
- the connecting arms also preferably encompass the cover or at least a section of the cover adjacent to the axis of rotation.
- metal inserts can also be placed in the axle body
- the entire locking element or an outer contour of the locking element pointing towards the axle body can be designed to correspond to an outer contour of the axle body, so that the locking element in a position shifted to the axle body, in which the at least one locking projection engages in the respective locking recess, the axle body encompasses sections.
- the surface of the locking element facing the axle body can be concave and designed to correspond to the axle body, so that the locking element can lie flat against the axle body with the concave inwardly bulging surface.
- the locking element can be made stiffer and therefore more stable, while at the same time the force from the holding device can be transmitted to the axle body or the body not only via the locking projections but also via the concave surface.
- wings or wing-like projections can also be provided on it, which extend parallel to the axis of rotation beyond the connecting arms, so that the locking element can be gripped on the wings and moved along the connecting arms.
- Another aspect of the invention also relates to a system consisting of a container and a holding device that can be attached to it.
- the container and the holding devices can be designed in accordance with the advantageous embodiments described above.
- the basic idea of this second aspect is to offer customers containers with or without a holding device that are specifically tailored to customer requirements to be able to.
- at least one fastening element and a corresponding fastening section are provided, by means of which the cover alone or the cover together with the holding device can be fixed to the body.
- the fastening element can, as already described, be designed as an axial fastening element and, for example, as a cover plug, which has at least one latching element.
- the corresponding fastening section of the body is also preferably formed by the frontal cavities of the axle body, in which at least two counter-locking elements are provided for this purpose.
- the counter-locking elements are also offset from one another in the axial direction, so that two locking depths or locking depths are provided for the fastening element or for the cover plug, which enable the cover to be fastened with or without the holding device.
- Figure 1 a section of the container 1 is shown, so that part of the body 10, part of the lid 20 and the holding device 30 with the locking element 40 arranged thereon are visible.
- the holding device 30 is in its first position, so that the holding device 30 hangs down from the axis of rotation D or from the axle body 16 due to gravity. Furthermore, the holding device 30 does not face the top or opening side 14 of the body 10, which is in the representation plane Figure 1 is above, beyond the body 10 or not beyond the projections 15 formed by the body 10, so that the holding device 30 does not increase the overall height or general height of the container 1. An opening on the upward-facing opening side 14 is closed by the lid 20.
- Locking element 40 is displaced along the connecting arms 33 of the holding device 30 towards the axis of rotation D, so that the present two locking projections 41 engage in the locking recesses 17 of the axle body 16 corresponding to these, as shown in Figure 2 is shown, the holding device 30 is locked in its second position.
- the holding device 30 extends significantly beyond the top or opening side 14 of the body 10 and thereby increases the lever or the lever length from the handle area 31 of the holding device 30 to a bottom or bottom side 12 of the body 10.
- the container 1 By extending the lever or increasing the length of the lever, the container 1 can be grasped and moved very easily by a person using the handle area 31. If the container 1 is to be stored again to save space, the holding device 30 can be released from its locking position after releasing the locking element 40 by moving the locking element 40 along the connecting arms 33 away from the axis of rotation D in the direction of the bend 33c and rotated back into the first position .
- FIG 3 A section of the container 1 is also shown, with the holding device 30 as in Figure 1 is in its first position.
- the cover 20 is rotated about the axis of rotation D from its first position, in which it closes the opening on the opening side 14, into a second position in which the cover 20, due to gravity, rotates about the axis of rotation D or from the axle body 16 in the direction of the bottom side 12 or in the direction of the lower level 11 hangs downwards.
- the holding device 30, against which the lid 20 rests in its second position, is pressed against the body 10 or at least in the direction of the body 10.
- the body 10 forms two projections 15, between which an axle body 16 extends, which is integral with the projections 15 of the body 10 or can be formed integrally with the body 10.
- the axle body 16 can also simultaneously form a second grip area of the container 1, on which the container can be gripped, which is basically known in the prior art.
- the second handle area provides a lever opposite the lower level 11 or the bottom side 12 of the body 10, the lever length of which is in Figure 3 is indicated simply as X'.
- such a second handle section is usually provided on them, which has a corresponding distance from the bottom side 12 or from the lower level 11 and thereby provides a lever length X 'with which the container can be tilted, for example.
- the handle area 31 in the second position determines a lever with a lever length X relative to the lower level 11, which is significantly longer than the lever length X 'of the second handle area relative to the lower level 11, which makes it easier for a person to rotate the container 1 about a rotation axis or wheel axis located on or in the lower level 11 and to move the container 1.
- the locking element 40 only points in Figure 1 visible recesses 42 into which the projections 11 formed by the body 10 extend can extend when the holding device 30 is in its first position.
- the holding device 30 is in Figure 4 cut shown in its second position.
- the connecting arms 33 each have a first leg 33a and a second leg 33b, which merge into one another to form a bend 33c.
- the bend 33c serves integrally as a stop for the locking element 40, the displaceability of which is limited by the bend 33c along a connecting arm 33.
- FIG 3 it can be seen that the lid 20 rests against the locking element 40 with a projection 21 formed by the lid 20 and presses the holding device 30 towards the body 10 via the locking element 40.
- locking projections 41 of the locking element 40 extend into the locking recesses 17 of the axle body 16 and thereby lock the holding device 30, the locking projections 41 preferably being hollow bodies and open to a side facing away from the axis of rotation D or, alternatively, also being solid .
- the variant shown provides that it is essentially hollow and has reinforcing ribs 18 for reinforcement and stiffening. These are in Figure 5 visible, in which the container 1 is shown in the area of the axle body 16 from below or in a view from the lower level 11. The axle body 16 can be opened downwards or towards the lower level 11, as shown.
- FIG. 6 an advantageous structure of the holding device 30 emerges.
- This has the handle area 31, which extends between two opposite end sections 32 and is formed, for example, in a tube-like manner or from a solid material.
- a connecting arm 33 extends towards the axis of rotation D, about which the holding device 30 is rotatably mounted by means of the connecting arms 33.
- Each of the connecting arms 33 has the previously explained legs 33a, 33b, which merge into one another via a bend 33c, which in the first position of the holding device 30 have an advantageous and in Figure 3 Allow the first leg 33a to rest on the body 10 as shown.
- the locking element is 40 in Figure 6 in which the holding device 30 is moved into the locking position, in particular the side wings 43 being visible, with which the locking element 40 extends beyond the connecting arms 33 and on which the locking element 40 is gripped in a simple manner and along the connecting arms 33 out of locking with the Axle body 16 can be moved out.
- FIGS 7a to 7f illustrate the rotation of the holding device 30 from the first position to the second position and the locking of the holding device 30 in the second position.
- one of the wheels 19 is also visible on the bottom side 12 of the body 10, which are mounted on the body 10 so that they can rotate about a wheel axis, the container 1 being particularly advantageous and easy to rotate about the wheel axis and therefore handled by means of the holding device 30 in the second position is.
- axle body 16 extends, which is non-rotatably connected to the projections 15 of the body 10 and preferably integrally and in one piece with them this is manufactured.
- Two locking recesses 17 are provided in the axle body.
- the cover 20 integrally forms two projections 21, which each can be referred to as handle hinges and with which the lid 20 engages around the projections 15 of the body 10 and with which the lid 20 is rotatably mounted about the axis of rotation D.
- the holding device 30 encompasses the cover 20 in the area of the axis of rotation D with its two connecting arms 33 and more precisely with the respective second legs 33b of the connecting arms 33, with two fastening elements 50 provided opposite one another on the axle body 16 in the form of cover plugs, with which the Holding device 30 and the lid 20 are rotatably held on the body 10.
- the axle body 16 can have openings on its opposite end faces through which the cover plugs can be inserted.
- the cover plugs form locking elements at their respective ends on the axle body 16, which can lock into corresponding locking recesses in the interior of the axle body 16.
- several locking recesses are provided in the axle body 16, so that at least two locking levels are realized and the cover plugs can be locked at different depths.
- both the holding device 30 and the cover 20 can be rotatably attached to the axle body. If the container 1 is to be designed without a holding device 30 or if this is to be removed, only the lid 20 can be fastened to the axle body without the holding device 30 using the lid plugs that engage in the second locking depth.
- the holding device 30 rests with the first legs 33a of the connecting arms 33 on the body 10, such a contact being effected in the present case by locking elements on the body 10 and the holding device 30 that are not shown or are hidden and therefore not visible and correspond to one another.
- at least one bead or at least one other locking projection is formed on the axle body 16 or one of the hinges 15, 21 of the body 10, with which a corresponding section of the second legs 33b of the connecting arms 33 can lock, which can each form a locking recess for this purpose, so that the holding device 30 is held by the locking in the shown or its first position.
- FIG 7d an intermediate position of the holding device 30 is shown between the first and the second position of the holding device 30, in which the locking projections 41 do not yet cover the locking recesses 17 and the holding device 30 therefore cannot yet be fixed by the locking element 40.
- the locking element 40 can be moved from a position that does not fix the holding device 30 Figure 7e into a position fixing the holding device 30 Figure 7f be moved, in which the locking projections 41 engage in the locking recesses 17.
- the projections 15 of the body 10, the cover 20 or the axle body 16 can form stops, which limit the rotation of the holding device 30 from the first position to the second position beyond the second position.
- the rotatability of the holding device 30 beyond the second position forward towards the lid 20 may also be desired. so that in this case no stop is provided.
